    Hello,

i get my keys on friday. The house we bought was valued at £130,000 but the most we were allowed to spend was £127,000.

The owner wanted £128,000 and woulnd't budge so we gave him £1000 in cash for his furniture. We didnt tell the LIFT scheme because they would probally grump about it.

You can just offer the maximium your allowed to spend according to the scheme.

So in your case i would offer the £95,000 and see what they say. Any property we liked we had to forward the schedule to our Lift scheme person to say if it was okay or not.

    Hopefully ive helped a bit.

if you need any more ifo just ask.

  • Thanks rhodod. I've put in an offer on a repossessed property and it's gone to a bloody closing date! Placed the offer yesterday morning and they then set a closing date for this morning at 11am!

Corss your fingers for me! I'll need all the luck I can get!

Thats pretty quick for a closing date.

  • Yep. It's less than three years old so it's all good there.

I'm hoping the swift closing date is a bluff - on Monday there were no official notes of interest other than mine. It's all very strange.

it is rather odd having a closing date.

but by law don't they have to tell you if someone else has noted interest?

i think they are bluffing, i reckon your probally the only interest and they made you think there is a closing dat so you offer more money.

good luck and let us know how you get on

The agent has probably declared the closing date, having received an offer, in order to generate more interest, even if they have no other notes of interest.

The Note of Interest situation is a professional courtesy, not a law.

    Here's hoping.
