Wow debt busting a-go-go from yourself Jonyb! Well done you
I have (hopefully) set up a savings account that £20 a month will go into that will go towards any Furry Dragon (tm) costs and any other incidentals in the house. Dr Dragon (OH) pays for most things as he is earning and I am on disability but I like to help out where I can!

Thanks Dragon, there's along way to go yet. A long way indeed. If i can reach those targets and get Christmas out of the way without touching my cards i will be very very happy. Looking at the precentage on where i am now it's just over 6%. After just a month of starting this diary its great to see the figure rise.0

I know how you feel jonny, any little improvement feels like sooooo much, and I know that I get more confident (hehe most of the time lol) in what I am doing, and start to realise that its good!

I'm pleased with myself as I have managed to pay £14 over the minimum payment this month
, I know it isn't a huge amount but it must gradually reduce the debt surely

Dragon it all adds up. I think the most important thing is being realistic and having a target. Its a great achievment to reach and something to aim for. I would rather pay £14 over and be realistic than pay £100 over but under budget then spend £86 on your cards. That would pee me off whereas what you have done would please me.....Keep it up.
Had an email from a bookies from years ago wishing me happy birthday. (Its Tuesday, hint hint wink wink). A free fiver bet was in it but i messed it up a bit. Was expecting £4.00 profit but as i messed it up i came out with £9.00.. Thats going in my Emergancy/Saving/ Christmas fun. May add some more names to it yet....lol.
So aim for £500 minumum in total by Christmas i got £79 so far. (Will have to account for any presents bought to.
Treated myself to the new Dan Brown book today which was just under a tenner. That wil probably go on ebay afterwards so no big loss.
So far this month/pay day and its going very well. Off out tonight for birthday meal and drinks. Easy on the wallet mind..0 -
Your doing well !
This whole betting thing seems to work for you, my friend is going to give me a few tips (seeing as though I have no idea!).
Happy birthday in advance0 -
Hi jonny. Thought I'd duck in and say hello. You're really inspiring me, especially your thoughts about setting goals. I think I'll try and think of some goals right now (other than winning the lottery)! Good luck.Debt @ Dec 2009 £10,026.05

Thanks LC, it does help as you know where you are and what to expect. Also gives you great hope when your above your target.
Not much to report really over the weekend. Did ok spending wise. Spent £15 going out. (Was treated for my birthday), and a further £15 on a photo and electricity top up. At work all week so wont really spend anything this week with the shift im on so all is well there.
Though i did wreak havoc in the front room. A bit of the laminate beading had came away from some boxing in i done a while ago...In a moment of madness decided to rip it up as the boxing in was getting in a bad way due to the baby standing on it and ramming his Thomas the Tank train into it...Extra motivation to redo that at a slight expence one of these days.
Got rejected for a new cc (Interest free balance transfer thingymabobby), decided to appeal against this and give them 'im a reformed character' bit and show them my statements having paid of a bit in the last few months. ..Not hold my breath but its worth a shot.0 -
Kick up the bum number two needed please:rotfl:
Wrote off a while ago to claim back PPI on a credit card. After getting fobbed off the first time i left it due to personal reasons.
Well its another source of money thats rightfully mine. So next fews days a SAR to request all information with a letter at the same time to ask for it all back and see how that goes. They said it was rightfully sold on the telephone so lets ask for the conversation...though they will not have it being more than six years ago....so i shall also be asking if they dont have it how do they know it was rightly sold on the phone then?
Hopefully it will all be in the SAR.
Fingers crossed0 -
