Not too hard though.....I need to send of a Subject Access Request to the Halifax to start the process of claiming back bank charges..Keep saying i will do it but never do. Im guess if i can get them back i will be looking at around £500 so well worth it. I just never seem to be bothered.
Payday Friday and no excuse now so a cheque for a tenner should be in the post to the Halifax at the end of the week.. If not..someone shoot me!

Yes, im paying the minimum on three of them and then as much as possible on the other one. A snowball effect so to speak.0 -
Lemon_Tree wrote: »does the fact that your card treats betting as a cash advance not mean additional charges or an increased interest rate on that amount? I'm not sure as i don't use mine as such but i have a feeling that it does, and the refund back on the card won't be treated as offsetting it if you have another balance on there.
Of course if you clear it each month interest won't be a problem and i'll go back to my little corner lol
It has the same interest rate as purchases etc and charges a cash advance fee of £3.00 but surely withdrawing £440 and the paying £512 off gets the balance down quicker afterall the extra £72 was money thats just been given to me free.
Ie Balance was £1571 withdraw £440 = £2011 owed but couple of days later i
paid off £512 so balance now = £1499 with the added cash advance of £3.00
Total balance around £1502.
Hope that makes sense.0 -

Hi Jonny,
Just thought Id pop in and say Hi, and thanks for coming to see me in my diary!!
Matched betting scares me, the most i do is free scartchies and cashback on deposits for bingo!!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Hey Kirsten, thanks for visiting.
Matched betting is very simple once you get used to it and to be honest very easy money. Used to do it years ago but went onto other things and it got put to one side. Eventually i stopped all as i didnt want to risk anything as was planning a big birthday surprise. You need a bigger float or spare cash nowadays but still can be done. Its well worth having a look.
Ive just opened up another account for a free £70.00 bet. and have put these on today. If everything done correct i should get £47 profit out of it which is another big bonus. This time im only using my money from my bank account so need to withdraw asap and that will be it for the month as my monthly pay dwindles away.
Will be following you on your travels also..Good luck0 -
Pania yes i had a look at the snowball effect and its going to take a while but with my extra targets etc i should get it down. Im not really targetting a set date.. The date is ASAP so if i can keep beating my targets i will be more than happy..and its started well im going to have to revise my targets.
Went for lunch yesterday and was surprised that the meals only came to £7. Special offer on i did not know about so putting an extra £3 into my saving/emergancy account as i would of spent this. Not much but every little helps.0
