Well, the end of the month is here and what a good month money wise.
A whopping £315 made altogether in February consisting of:
£15 - Overtime
£15 - Cashback
£20 - Unaccounted for surplus money
£265 - Matched betting
So im putting £90 onto my credit cards and £150 into savings. The remainder £75 is to go on new school shoes for kids and towards school trip. Total savings should be then £370.. Not bad from a £260 target. Again £200 will be used for Mums 60th So from now my savings is £170.
Next month is looking good also as i have around £100 earmarked already in cash back providing it all come though ok.:T
I will be back next day or so when i can get my credit card totals.0 -
:beer::beer: it's all looking good Jonny! This must mean you are getting close to your target aren't you? (and hoo boy do I wish I had the stake and the guts to do matched betting
)

Yes its all looking good so far but i never like to get to excited as you never know whats around the corner.
Well total on cards now equals £5747.53 which is 21% paid off. All good as i have only just paid matched betting profits onto card so this months statements do not reflect that. As a result i have just this minute paid another £170 on one of my cards.
Had a recent £10 bonus given from a MB account which by luck for than anything turned into a £41.00 profit so providing all cashback comes in and is paid i have made £150 already this month so im well chuffed.
Even better is my next two paydays fall in the same month (April - get paid every 4 weeks) so the latter will cover Mays mortgage and as its payday today that will cover Aprils mortgage payment so my next payday i will have over £300 spare to do as i please. Hmmmm - Credit card, wedding fund, new laptop (I do need one)....we shall see!!!!!0 -
Busy busy last week or so, so just updating as i have not forgotten the thread.
Well Mums 60th, brother birthday and mother day are out the way. Because of these i have had to dig into savings abit which was disappointing but things are still going good..
Cheltenham festival this week and have got money all over the place with my matched betting. Hopefully when its all calmed down a bit i should come out with a profit of around £550 for the month. Yes £550!!... Im chuffed but until its all back in my bank im a bit apprehensive. That will go some way off towards saving (now turned into wedding fund...), and also paying some extra onto cards.:beer:0 -

Thanks Dragon, hopefully next June depending on funds. Nothing booked as such......yet! But should be soon.
We decided we will never have the money spare for wedding so if we dont do it now we never will. Matched betting and all that seems like a good chance to get some funds together, and still enabling to pay off the extra on credit cards. Maybe could of paid off more if it wasnt for the wedding but but you have to keep the OH happy and have a few luxuries. It wont be a big one with us or people we know doing a lot of things like invitations etc etc.0 -
Had another letter from the debt people with what they call proof of debt.
Was no such thing as it had no link to me whatsoever. For all i know it could be the Queens debt. Absolute joke these people who just manipulate and expolit the vunerable. I really feel sorry for the people who are not as clued up and panick into paying these kind of people due to their bullying tactics.
This country should really get a grip of these people and firms charging extortionate APR etc etc.

We only had a small wedding (well registry officers at a local hotel thing!), immediate family only, my late sister had two large weddings and frankly I don't know how you can get round and talk to everyone!
Re the Proof of Debt (NOT!) jokers - are you writing back to them?Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Hi Dragon, sorry for not getting back to you. I have left the debt letter for now. Will get around to doing it sometime after Easter. At the end of the day they can only send another chaser letter, threatening me. I will just send them a letter that the account they are on about has any reference to me whatsoever and they need to provide proof not just a set of numbers. In the mean time i will send a SAR to the company they represent to find when my last payment was as i think the bedt people are telling porky pies......so
to them!!!
For a summary of the month, its been a great one. With a total of £556.00 made in total :
£15.00 overtime
£100 cashback
£441 matched betting.
Made a few mistakes also this month with it being a bit hectic. Lost £75 matched betting but gained around an extra £50 through mistakes and some luck.
Had to spend a bit more (alot more) than i budgeted due to a big month, with birthdays, mothers day etc etc so my savings are not as high as they could of been although still higher than what was expected a couple of months ago. Also had to fork out £60 for parts for the dryer as it packed in again..
Still savings look a healthy £485.00.
And cards total £5250 (Paid over £2000 since August):T. So im over a quarter of the way there and from my snowball calculations i done, ive already reached the amount that i should be in August 2010 so im about 4 months or so ahead of it with 21 month ot being debt free.
Oh i have also set aside £280 from mortgage saving from being paid every 4 weeks (2 paydays in April).Breaks down as £150 for a couple of days in Scotland, £50 sons birthday next month and an emergancy £80 if needed. Any extra at then end will go on cards.
Just hope this month is half as good as the last.0 -
Good luck with everything and I hope you have a nice successful April! (I'm now 9.24% of the way to clearing my CC so a happier Dragon here!)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
