Just wanted to send a hug & reiterate post that suggested contacting CCS etc for some free advice...also think it would be worth looking into the sick thing & being sacked - ie wer you given formal warnings; what were your conditions etc as it would appear that the co just trying to get away with paying redundency payment? CAB should be able to advise...

To tell the truth, Im just so glad someone has responded to my letters, I mean, the first ones I sent off were on the 21st April, so this is the first bit of help I have recieved from my creditors, as for stopping interest, I couldnt tell you until I recieve a bill.
    Thanks for asking:T

OK, I got another letter from Capital One this morning accepting my offer of a token payment each mponth of £1.
They have also stopped all interest on my account.

Thank you Capital One and everyone here, this is a good start.

Have also written to HFC, again, asking them not to telephone, they have called 8 times today, since 9am, it is now 7pm.

Ok, got a letter from HFC this morning threatening a £50 charge and making my details known to a Credit Ref Agency. They are saying they are entitled to take legal preceedings against me.
They still have not stopped calling, despite my three letters to them.

Heres a copy of the letter Im planning to send them today, hopefully they might acknowledge this one!

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Re Account No: 0006******
Thank you for your letter, dated 26th May 2006,

This letter has made it painfully obvious to me, that you have either not read any of my other three letters I have sent to you, dated 27th April 2006, 5th May 2006 and on the 24th May, or are ignoring them.

You have also ignored my written request, dated 24th May to correspond though writing only, and have carried on pursuing me through harassing telephone calls, which has made my partner afraid to answer the telephone. This is not on.

Please stop sending me these threatening letters, as I have proposed a solution to my problem, however, you will not even acknowledge that I have.

This previous letter included a comprehensive statement of affairs, and a request that my creditors accept a token payment from me of £1 per month to repay this account.
If you have mislaid these details, again, I will be more than happy to send another copy to you.

I will also ask again that all future correspondence will be made to me by post

I look forward to a constructive and helpful response this time.

    Yours Faithfully,

Im planning on sending this later today, what do you think?

Have you contacted Payplan or CCCS at all yet. they would negociate with all your crediters and eventually the calls would stop. Do you not want to use them? They are charities as well which wouldn't charge you anything....Also have you had a read of the reclaiming bank charges thread? Sounds like you'll get quite a lot back which would help at the moment!!

I would ask that they do not contact you by telephone again.

However that means you have to keep letting them send you letters!

    Also send recorded delivery.
