Yay!
More people are here!!!
Well now Ive done a few more things!
- Booked Venue
-Booked Official to marry us
- Booked photographer!
Ive also ordered a sample wedding inviation from ebay
Maybe found a make up artist - which i feel guilty about getting beacause of the cost, but i am crap at make-up and this is something i really want.
However i did save £500 on my photography budget so that was very MSE!
And I got a £50 vouvher from M&S for recommending my brother to sky, so thats £5 off my wedding cake!2009 Comping - 2x Superbowl Superbash tickets, body butter, easter hamper!:j0 -
Okay. I seriously need motivation!!!!
I'm getting married on the 11th of September and so far all we've booked is the registry office:eek:.
The trouble is we're not having the traditional wedding-then meal-then reception type thing, we're having a meal with close family and friends, then ceremony, then everyone back to our place for drinks and nibbles. Probably going to have max. 40 guests, which definatley help in the MSE-ness, but I'm kinda floundering coz I don't know what to do...
Think I've found my florist, isn't it weird the things that become important to you about the wedding. I'm not generally a flower person, and wasn't going to bother (and nobody said anything about it) and now I really want some, jus a bouquet for me and a posy for my bridesmaid but I've found it so strange that I would want them.
Gonna sort out some sort of save the dates this week for our out of town/country guest....plus those poeple who never remember things no matter how often you tell them:p.
Of course OH is only interested in ONE thing in the whole party.....the sweetie buffet!!!!!:rotfl:
Well, I think thats more than enough waffling from me. Will go and see if I can't figure....something out.Now MARRIED!11/09/100 -
Well I've been signed off for a month after wreaking my knee and am now waiting on an MRI. So I've finally started to focus a bit on the wedding. I've booked our photographer, and the honeymoon after a lot of negotiations between various firms to get the best price ( 5 nights 5* dubai beach, 14 nights 4* water villa in the Maldives on AI, flights with Emirates from Newcastle, £5856). I've tried on a few dresses but I'm so pale I just look ill in all of them! This week I'm going to call the lady I hope will make my invites, see if I can find some entertainment for the evening do, and find some contact details of places that do wedding cars. Flowers are still baffling me to be honest.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

We've found a restaurant that has a function room for the wedding breakfast (if we have one, can't decide on that yet) and the evening reception.
I haven't eaten there in a few years so we're going to go for a meal to make sure it's still nice!
Then we have to set a date! Think happy & you'll be happy

We have booked a honeymoon now. Going to Cape Town, spending 7 nights exploring the garden route (self-drive), 3 nights on Safari and then 4 nights in Mauritius.
Very excited!
Not very MSE I have to say but we are spending more on this, than we are on the weddingand OH Grandma has offered to put some money towards honeymoon and OH has worked out he can save the rest, so all good. We weren't going to have a gift list (because I don't like them) but some of my friends have already asked what we want/insisted we have some sort of gift - so we think we might suggest South African rand / Mauritius Rupee's - so we have some money for meals out and the odd activity.
