Posted our Christmas cards with homemade "save the date" magnets in last night. Very exciting :-)
Going to give notice tomorrow and then treat ourseleves to a meal out whilst getting our heads round the 'reality' of it.

SDH: where is your venue? Presumably you're giving notice in Beds? Ours is strange; we're getting hitched in Beds but have to give notice in Bucks who then liase with Beds. Weird stuff.

I've barely progressed! 4 months since proposal and 9 months to go. Church booked, venue deposit paid... few quotes gotten for the honeymoon and have found some rings we quite like.... have emailed the photographer to reserve the date but no response yet. I'm not letting my mums panicing bother me, there's loads of time yet.

Bellow's Mill in Eaton Bray (so in Bedfordshire) and we live in Bedfordshire, and are giving notice at the Leighton Buzzard registry office (again, Bedfordshire).

Bucks border is only a mile from my house tho - i know that cos my horses live on a dairy farm, just up the road, in Buckinghamshire. LOL

Thought i would bump this thread.

Im getting married 4th September 2010!!

Only things done so far are

Venue - where we will be having the whole day, so the whole catering ect is sorted
Registra booked for 2pm.

Feel so behind now reading all your posts from months ago!!!

September 17th for me :-) can't wait!

simple small ceremony with immediate family and close friends at local reg office and then having an evening party for around 100 with buffet/disco etc

so far have given notice, and thats about it lol

not having a traditional wedding, so my dress is a bit unconventional - having a 50s style polka dot dress :-) still need to find a party venue etc but most things i can leave for a few months.

have booked our honeymoon - going to Egypt :-)

No movement on ours as Christmas and other bits got in the way (like having new windows in the house).

Busy organising the after-'do' holiday, hopefully going to crack on with the plans this week and start looking at rings etc next week. (off to Brum's jewellery quarter for an idea on what we'd like). We're pretty organised though, apart from outfits and flowers now, going to try and decide what we want to do with those!

I haven't actually set a date yet, only got engaged on new years eve but we're definitely thinking September.

Will post more when we finalise things

We haven't done much over xmas/new year

Oh but my friend has provided me with some cream shoes - size 9 !! They don't match my dress but dress is floor length so figured no-one will see shoes anyway!
