We're getting married 3rd September, venue booked, church is a total nightmare so trying to sort that first. We have been attending a pentacostal church every sunday for a year, and we've been told our wedding is 'not a cause for celebration' as we're an 'unsaved' couple (both live with my parents), and so we're thinking of going elsewhere, where we can actually feel happy rather than ashamed of our wedding.
I think that is really bad , Im not getting married in september 2010 but it will be our 5th wedding annivesary on the 29th sept , so september is a very good month .
Go and find a place that will help you celebrate your wedding ,
I cant believe that at all about the church you have been attending
Good luck with all your lovely weddings !!!

That's true MSE stylee, Save-The-Dates with xmas cards! ;-)

Registrar appointment all sorted, and started making up the invite cards today (the sooner, the better... there's plenty to make!). Just tweaking the pocketfold inserts now and am trialling the card prints - I'm actually quite nervous about getting them right when printing them.

I was at my best-friend-from-school's wedding yesterday, taking lots of visual notes and she's promised me lots of hints 'n tips when she's back from her honeymoon. I might need them!

My partner and I of three years are getting married first week in September, on our forth year anniversary together!

Church – We have a meeting with our Vicar week after next about booking the date

Reception Venue – Found the perfect place for the reception. We will be putting a deposit down for that this weekend. The bonus being it’s a hotel which allows us to have out own professional caterers to serve the food, and also a lot of my partners family will be travelling from far so it’s somewhere for them to stay

The Dress – My partners Sister knows a dress student dress designer who has made dresses for quite a few weddings. My partner wants to personal touch and the designer’s prices are very reasonable so she’s happy to get it made. Just busy looking at designs and sketches with the designer. The designer also knows a student photographer who she works with, we’ve seen his work and he’s very good and cost wise very competitive so were going to arrange a meeting with him too

Hopefully things will start progressing from here now onwards ;-)

I’ve found this section very helpful

Anyone else done almost nothing for their wedding?! I booked the venue and found a replacement church, and have now hit a plateau where I've done nothing for over a month. I just want to be married, all this fluffyness is not something I can focus on!
