Then coming out of Tesco we found £10 on the floor of the car park!

Ooh, I'm sure I lost some money in Tesco at the weekend.... Oh no hang on, spent it all in there!

Been making to-do lists this morning, but my mum has decided we're going out this afternoon to get new motorbiking gear ready for Winter. Joys!

Your mum sounds so cool Cinny!

I wish my stomach would shrink! I'm not losing weight, but I'm definitely changing shape (must be all that spinning and miscellaneous exercise) but I still love eating! OH took me on a proper Saturday night date to Foxy's - a rotisserie/grill place where the chef brings you out a slab of raw meat and asks you to choose how much you want (lots, please!) - it's very dangerous!!

I think I've ground to a halt with this! TOTM though so I'm just going to try and eat as well as I can this week and not weigh myself til Monday and hopefully I'll see a change.

That house is lovely Dinah, I particularly like the bathroom, the way the window is over the bath, looks really bright and a nice place to get ready on a morning. Don't worry too much about looking at houses, it's not as though you can impulse buy one really is it?! It's probably good to keep an eye on the market.

Speaking of impulse buys, just been checking my bank and didn't look too bad, but then I realised none of yesterday's spends are showing up yet - £20 petrol, £25 Pets at Home and £15 Hobbycraft  - going to have to be a very frugal two weeks!

I'm lucky in a way that NIM and I have to have a frugal two weeks, we've got the meal with church this Saturday, but all Saturday day time and most of Sunday we've got viewings of venues (nb need £6 for the fayre on Sunday), next friday night and saturday we're on a church weekend, Monday-Wed we have reach out group or my sewing class, and Thursdays we have more viewings. Phew!

NIM has the 'Wedding Diary' with him today. I can tell over time this book will get even scarier. Basically it's our personal joint diary of appointments (another nb to myself, need to write down all the MS appointments in it too). He's expecting to make more appointments today for us to view more venues. I was ruthless last night and crossed the amazing place in York off the list. It's just too far to be reasonable.

Probably will be by the time our 'week off' in October rolls around. Really hoping we manage to keep the Thursday, Friday and Saturday free so we can relax, as the only time off we're getting at the moment is the 10 mins reading before bed!

When is your week off Dinah? We have got the last week of October off. Is my birthday that week and was a coincidence OH has it off with his training.

I am so tired today and got a work party after work, don't think I will be there too long.

First week of October off. Its the week after NIMs birthday, and just seemed a good time to have a recharge in the run up to Christmas. Am doing well on that front. Have ordered this for mum, this for my grandparents on my mums side, already have a wine and cheese set from Boots sale for my other grandad, I'm going to make dad up a veggie growing kit, as he keeps whittering about wanting to do it, just some seeds, gloves and a book or dvd in a box, NIM I need some bits for as at the moment I have one pressie for him, and I need to think of something for my brother. But I'm sure something will come up! Other than that I'm pretty much sorted. Have got mum this for her birthday which I need to get framed, I have a birthday for one grandad before then and I need to come up with something for that too. Also need another pressie or two for NIMs birthday as at the moment its looking a bit sorry for itself!

Gosh Dinah, sounds like a crazy week! I think it's all too much if I just have one thing each day that I have to do :rotfl: Still, the sooner you start the faster it'll all be over and done with for booking the venue.

Tete - I suppose my mum isn't too bad! ;) She bought her and my Dad's winter stuff at the weekend so it's just me to go now.
Hobbycraft + Pets at home are terrible for impulse buys though! I could do with a frugal 2 weeks too, need to get the money saved up for Ribblesdale and meet my target. 2 weeks with £240 to save.

ETA: I love that necklace Dinah! I'd love something like that for my Mum but it feels like I'm stealing the idea now. Sounds like you're pretty sorted though!

Saturday is the worst. 4 venues to look around then a meal out on the night. I'm just scared we won't be 100% happy with any of them. Be too expensive, or too far, or too tatty or too fancy or too generic.

Well I have no qualms about stealing it for Grandma for Christmas - she loves trees it'd be perfect!

You seem really organised Dinah, reminds me I need to buy some paper from ebay for my Crimble cards then I can get started. I'd recommend the Gardener's World mag for your dad, I got dad a 6-month subscription for Father's day and he absolutely loves it!

If I wasn't happy for you to use the idea I wouldn't have posted it! I just thought it was a lovely idea and really unusual, might help people who are struggling to think of something - I'll be asking the girl for commission soon!
