NIM was given one of my friends babies to hold ... he had him for an hour or so and my insides turned to mush.I always turn to mush when i see OH with his younger cousins.
Hehe, hmmm, OH took his little nephew swimming last night which I though was quite sweet, then he got back and said how he'd almost tried to drown the little sod ... I quote - "He's got the devil in him that child!"Hey everyone. Think I will get the laptop once I get paid on Wednesday. YAY!!! Thanks for absolving my MSE guilt, lol.
Yeah, if you ever need encouragement to buy something this is a pretty good thread for it! It'll be fab for your course though!
Dinah I can't imagine NIM's mum putting any money towards the wedding but you never know - she might want her son to have a fantastic event no matter who he's marrying?
I'm going to sit with a few magazines tonight and hopefully do some cutting out - problem is I never really like what's fashionable! Started on my sock cat project last nightWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Have actually been making some progress with NIMs mum lately, shes trying to make amends in her own way. I'm not counting on her helping, but I am seriously stressing about how people are supposed to afford weddings and houses these days!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Good glad to hear it. It's not a moment too soon. I hear you on the money front, we thought we had enough deposit but it seems like we need another £10k because of the credit crunch, bleurgh.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

The progress with NIMs Mum sounds good Dinah, would be nice if she'd help out a bit with money. Just be careful she doesn't try to take over because of it!
Now you have the venue sorted, do you get to start eating lots of free cake?0 -
I love it when I see my OH with his nieces , is so cute. Apparently the older one talks about us when we aren't there, which is sweet as we don't see them that much. She tells people my uncle daryls a policeman awww I want one!
Hope that NIMs mum will help you out, I am sure once she gets used to the idea she will be more willing to.0 -
Hi all,
Dinah - the venue is fabulous. Well done!
Well keep your fingers crossed for me everyone. We went to view a place at the weekend to rent and have put an offer in (we were encouraged to offer lower). It is on a fabulous leafy street and is part of a converted house so it feels like a house more than an apartment. It has 3 bedrooms, a modern kitchen and bathroom and lovely spacious rooms with plenty of storage. I told the agent to tell the landlady we would sign up for an 18 month lease as it is in a really good area and there is no way we could afford to buy there (well maybe a 2 bed flat) so it would take us up to just after the baby is 1 & we could continue to payour debts and save for a deposit.
I am excited about the location because it is so beautiful and in such a nice area. I would love to bring a baby home to that apartment.
Hope everyone is wellTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Ah sounds good then about NIM's mum have you spoken to her much yourself or is it baby steps?
Ebay drives me mad! I've had an email from someone in Greece asking if I'll send something there (even though I clearly state UK only), and they haven't got paypal set up yet so would I accept payment in Euros cash?!
Has anyone on here ever been asked to put something on Buy it Now? Someone's asked about a jacket which has about 12 watchers, I don't know if it's worth saying 'OK, £20 it's yours' to this person?
ETA - that place sounds fab CMD, fingers crossed for youWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
