Morning Campers.
Hi-De-Hi! Well the sun is back and time to get the washing out to dry. Just the usual list of things today (Washing up, cleaning up after OH has gone to work, Gym).0 -
Morning Everyone
Not feeling so Jazz-tastic today. The possibility of having my hours slashed to 12.5 a week is rearing it's head again, admittedly a tad more seriously this time. Will mean my wages will only be £62.50 a week, or £30 after board. How am I meant to save to move out on that? Or even get by on it?! What tiddles me off even more is because I'm family, I'm just meant to get on with it.
I can't even look down at my Uggs and feel a warm happy glow anymore, how am I meant to pay them off on those wages?0 -
Aw Cinny, that's bad news. Doesn't mean to say that has to be the only job you have though ... if it's a temporary cut could you do some seasonal work and see where the company stands in the new year?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I know, if it happens I'll just look for another job. Hoping the idea will just fade away like it did last time
I suppose at least the Christmas jobs are coming up, hey, I could make cracker middles!

Aww Cinny really sorry to hear about that. Good idea about looking for christmas jobs though - boots are already advertising for their christmas staff if you have one near you?Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0

Morning All
Sorry to hear the job news Cinny - times are still v tough out there, but a seasonal job would be good. I'd LOVE to make the cracker middles
Enjoy your Uggs! You've already bought them, it's too late to return them, so remember how much you love them and focus on a new way of paying for them! How's about a Dooyoo review to start?
Poor Birdie being so tired! I know the feeling - I had to work all weekend (9am-9pm) at the short story festival at work and I was stuck in the green room the whole time so I didn't even get to see the sunshine! Haven't stopped yet! I'm going to take Friday off if I can make it until then...LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Thanks Girls (: I know, I'll be able to find another part time job. Or I can go back to the Council working because the hours will slot in pretty perfectly with the new office hours if they alter them. It won't be the end of the world, right?
Still, me and my brother are fighting on. Trying to find new places to get work. Just printed of a nice long list of addresses I've been putting together over the past few days, and I've got another list of places to contact in my noggin too.0 -
Sorry to hear about your hours Cinny. A christmas job is a good idea though. I worked at m and s at christmas when I was at uni and they give you discount even though you are only temp. If you get a job in a shop you could be earn money and get some dscounted pressies.
I got paid today, is good but most of it is accounted for already.0
