I do that too! Trying so hard not to do that this year, saying that I only have 4 things left to do/get now, 2 bits for my dad, a gift set for OH and to get the prints I bought framed. Holding off with the wrapping though - I normally do that when they first show Annie on channel 4. I'm so sad :o

I do the same too, but I'm being good this year and sticking to my budgets! What have you got for your Dad Cinny? I'm really struggling to think of good gifts for him and my stepmum. My stepmum's baby is due in Jan so I thought I could put together a 'new mum' set, but seeings as this is her 5 pregnancy I don't want to jinx it in case something goes wrong. :o

I bought my OH a box set of the matrix on blu-ray for £15, then his damn brother text him telling about it so I had to tell him I already got it.

Two days until the final weigh in for the 'loose a stone in 3 months' challenge, hows everyone feeling about it?

I went horribly wrong! But I am starting again this week (right at the end of the challenge!) :p

Tete that sucks! I hope the charge isn't too much.

Thats good news CMD. Its very, very sad for your cousin but usually there is a reason these things happen, the baby wasn't developing properly and the body recognises that, that kind of thing.

That's the really sad thing, the baby was developing properly and the only reason he died was because my cousin went into premature labour. The next time she gets pregnant she will have to get a stitch in her cervix, as it opened too early (sorry if TMI)

Eeek thats a bit scary CMD.

I'll be starting a new weight loss challenge for those who want it on Thursday Zig, as I think a lot of people fund it helpful to have the support, I certinaly do, but they still have a way to go.

I'm doing the ice-breaker part of my church group tonight and I'm playing a version of 'I have never' .... I've only ever done this as a drinking game before where it was all filthy, so can anyone think of any 'I have nevers' that are vaguely interesting and not sex related?! So far I've got 'i have never been on a motorbike' and various travel ones.... help me think of something interesting!!!

Challenge was 'end of September' Cinny, so you might avoid whaleness since we're weighing in on Wednesday?!

You can tell I'm not all there today can't you? :rotfl: Oh dear.

Tete - That sounds pretty tricksy of Scottish Power. I hope the fee isn't too much.

Zig - I'm getting my Dad a 'retro sweet hamper' from a shop in town and a motorcycle magazine subscription. I don't know if that will help you any!
I'm just getting OH something small to open on Christmas Day, will most likely get him Only the Brave by Diesel gift set or something, was attacking him in Boots with samples yesterday and that was smelt lovely!

My OH is exactly the same. It's so annoying! I've already said that as much as I love animals, we're not having any because they cost loads and they are a hassle when you want to go away! I'll visit my cats at my Mum's though, she wouldn't let me take them with me even if I wanted to!

Exciting stuff Cinny about flat/house hunting!
Was the money worth it for the Uggs? I'm worried that if I get some they will go like the rubbishy ones I have (you know when you end up walking on the side of the boot, rather than the sole? Looks awful!)

I have extended family in Australia so I'm tempted to see how much it would cost to get some sent over. But I don't know how much cheaper they are over there.

Hope your morning improves soon Tete!

    Hi Zigmeister!

The uggs ar way cheaper in Oz (or at least they were when my brother bought me a pair 2 years ago!).

I am going to get a pair when I am over in November. The real ones are so comfy. It is like walking on clouds!

  • I got that Only the Brave for OH a few weeks ago for a for-no-reason pressie, he loves it and I think it smells lovely too.

Hopefully charge won't be more than the cashback I got for switching anyway!!

Hmm Dinah ... never have I ever ... eaten a full tube of pringles all to myself ... that is actually the only one I can think of that's not rude! ... farted and blamed the dog?! Don't know if that's really appropriate either!

will join the next challenge , i think i may have actually put weight on during this one. I found some photos at the weekend from when I was 17 and 18 and I looked so much slimmer, at least it has motivated me

I'll re-start the challenge (and maybe not give in half way through) are we heading for another stone before New Years or something?

I can't help with the nevers though I'm afraid, apart from variations of the motorbike 'I've never ridden a motorbike with my feet' and so on.

Great! Now I'm back at uni it will be easier to get into a routine, and really stick at it. I'm spurred on at the mo cuz me and OH were looking at old photos the other day and he commented on how skinny my face looked. I want a skinny face again!

My Dad is a massive foodie so I could get him a food magazine subscription! Thanks :) Just my stepmum now then I'm done! Woo!

Hey CMD, thanks! I might have to start sending some emails asking very nicely if they could send some over! Do you have to pay customs do you know?

    Dinah -

I have never eaten a whole tub of ice cream in one go
I have never walked into a lamp post
I have never pretended to know someone when you have no clue who they are, but they know you!
I have never cried in the cinema
I have never tried to pick a coin up that was glued to the floor (I have, it was mortifying)

Sorry, they're rubbish. It's hard to think of them!

ooooh liking the pringles one Tete.

Aye I was going to do New Years as the target. I know this sets us bang on course for the risky Christmas period, however we have a lot longer than last time to do it in. So it's way under 1lb a week we're aiming at this time if everyone is aiming for a stone. Personally my target is going to be 'under 9 stone by new years', which depending on my weigh in this week should be between 1 stone and 1 stone 3lbs ish. My final goal weight is 8 1/2 stone unless I think I'm getting to scrawny, but that doesn't rhyme as well :p
