I heard on radio this morning they had gone up? Maybe that was just in London, wouldn't surprise me.0

Right so paid off the CC in full and I have £650 to last me until the end of term - not good. I do have some money in my other account but this is my overdraft and I am wanting to use it as spends when I go to Zimbabwe next month so we are going to have to get imaginative!! especially as my rent is £250 a month!!
I have just looked at some of you on dooyoo!! your reviews are much better than mine but I will try and improve!! I think I need to get more into the community too to get people reading and rating my reviews (obv I'll read theres too!) I just tried to put a picture on there but failed because as I just discovered, my bf doesnt have any pictures of me on his computer!!
thats good about the house prices Dinah, I hope they stay low for ages!!! I know my granny and grandpa made a lot of money on the last boom though so hopefully the next boom won't happen until we can cash in on it! (although I deffo won't be ready to buy for a good few years!)
I'm doing Textiles and Management if I never said before sorry! Its quite interesting but I have my first meeting about a dissertation today and I'm a bit worried!!
To do for this afternoon:
wash up/clean the kitchen
bingoport
write a budget and try to think of how to make some more money without dipping into savings
go to uni
sort out the phone!
look for another graduate scheme
Find 3 things to review and do at least one of them!
I'll probably add to that too!!0 -
Tink are you Milly?
So £650 til Christmas then? Eek, have you got a part time job, or is it possible to get one? Places like Boots and Argos will be recruiting now for the Christmas/Jan sale season...
I am aiming this year not to fall into my usual trap of looking at what I've got people and thinking it's not enough, and buying more and more bits! It always ends up so expensive considering I only have 5 adults and a baby to buy for!
I heard something about house prices going up too Wendz but I don't pay too much attention I have to say!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Textiles and Management... that is possibly the oddest combination I've ever heard! Sure its interesting though. I'm all excited for what I'll learn in sewing class this week. Not so excited about being measured though.
I have done 1 Dooyoo so far today, trying to get another 3 done before 4pm. I was thinking. They should give 1.5p for very useful votes, 1p for useful, 0.5p for somewhat useful and nothing for not useful. Might encourage people to put more effort into it?
I think you're going to need to work your way through the list of free money offers on all the cashback sites first off Tink, then we're on to ebaying, amazon, surveys and mystery shopping I think.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
Tink - my sister did textiles and business studies, so probably quite similar. She has been working part time for a company and looking for a full time job now as she is struggling.
I just had a minor celebrity spot, DR Fox (radio presenter, was a judge on pop idol) just walked into me and apologised haha. Am pleased with that one as listen to magic which he is a presenter on now in the mornings.0 -
I know its a little bit random but it was my way of doing something that might give me more prospects as the textiles industry in the UK is deffo not growing!!
I need to look at allll the extra money making things but I'm not sure about getting a job as the bf lives so far away I would like free weekends, and also I want to have enough time for my degree, maybe look at some hospitality waitressing again with an agency so i can do it more sporadically, I'm not sure really.
Just a quickie, what phone deals does everyone on here have? currently me and the boy are on payg and have quite good deals, but we are looking at getting some new contracts (and he wants a blackberry grrr!)
Just sorted one of our bingoport profiles and have redeemed for this week, just need to keep on top of it now and try to play through my posting points everyday!
Wendz, where did your sister go to uni?0 -

Ooh, trendy London eh?! The best you see around here are Johnny off Big Brother from years ago and Antony off Big Brother from years ago - and that's in the VIP bits of bars!! I did once see Declan Donnelly in Newcastle though, and Spuggie from Byker Grove was in H&M - if anyone can remember her!!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
She went to Brighton, where do you go?
My phone deal is quite good but have been with O2 a while so have negotiated it each year. I got a free phone , 400 mins , 2000 texts and free o2 to o2 calls for £15 a month.0 -

I have an O2 one month contract - £10 per month for 150 mins and 300 texts I think, but I keep going over that so I'm thinking of moving to the 12 month contract for £20 - you get more than double what I'm getting now I think and £100 cashback at the mo... still toying with it. Those are both SIM only though (I get OH's cast-offs)
ETA - wow Wendz! I think mine needs negotiating!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I never notice the famous people I see, only see them when someone points it out. I didn't even know it was him till my friend said you know who that was and I was like oh yeah thought i recognised him haha.0
