I don't think that's generally known as 'waitressing' Tinkerbel! Though another moneymaking possibility Dinah may not have thought of :D

    :rotfl:

On a very bad note, I've just been clicking about on ebay and seen some uggs in my size, and it's a real bargain! Still 4 hours left with bidding though so I'll bet the price will shoot up.

I'm pretty sure when I logged online 2 hours ago I was going to do some STP..

Ohh I seem to have missed a lot.

I think it would be very hard for you to make another 12k, especially with all your commitments. Babysitting is a good idea. When I started this when I was younger I put a notice in the post office window. I got one job through this and the other two families were both neighbours which was through word of mouth. Apparently the going rate in London is about £8 an hour. Maybe I should start doing it again!

I used to be very set in the marriage/house/children thing. Have changed my opinion a lot though. Although i do want my own house/flat I don't actually mind renting now and we have a nice flat with a nice landlord. We also save by sharing with my sister. I also have changed my mind on kids before marriage. I always said to OH that i would have to be married first. Recently though I have come round more to the thinking that I don't mind which comes first. Obviously your religion may play a big part for you which is understandable. You will achieve all you want one day just don't totally stress youself out about doing it.

But we'd never save any more money to buy a house. Also we don't want a baby in rented accomodation! Currently we're thinking we are going to have to buy a house after the wedding, and just ask for money towards our deposit as a wedding present. My mum and dad lived with her parents for a few months after the wedding so its not the end of the world, but not ideal.

    So did mine ;)

Feeling very blue this afternoon. Want to get NIM a birthday present, because he'll do anything for me and gets so little in return, but I don't know how to afford it. Last year I would have bought it and worried later, but now I just feel like a witch for only spending about £15 on his birthday.

I dont have time/space or desire for things my love. Dont go spending massive amounts on me.
NIM's birthday - cut loose on the purse strings and buy the poor chap something nice. He seems like a very decent, hard working fella & he deserves a nice present.

    NOOOOOO!!!!!!! dont give her ideas.

Deleted it! Seriously, I am pretty good aren't I?

They better not cost more than £5 or 10 cinny, otherwise repost them. I dont want her spending lots of money on me. I dont be needing "things". We live in a room which has no space for "things".

Only reason I'm saying £15 is she makes awesome cakes.

I think that all you can do for the time being is carry on as you are, saving hard, and everything will work itself out. That sounds all too easy but I think sometimes you (as in 'people') can worry too much about how it is all going to come together. Obviously you'll know nearer the time how it is panning out and can adjust things. But you never know, you could fall pregnant without meaning to and all your plans would be chaos!

That you definitely applies to the love of my life. I worry about it but I know it will come right one way or another. I have faith that somehow we will sort this out. No idea how but something will happen...and to be fair considering I'm only 7 months into my working life and already on £14,000 a year at that rate I'mm be making millions in no time ;)
In fact, I wouldn't mind renting for another 5 years if we have to. Seeing the man I love walking around with a spring in his step and for me, having a job I absolutely love, means we feel far more successful in life than any money we could have in the bank. Now - my bit is in, I better get back to work!

I have certain issues with regard to renting which I wont go into here as this post is already reaching biblical proportions. Suffice it to say I could not easily go and rent, it would take a lot for me to do it. Dinah seems like the bad guy on this one but methinks most of the anti renting comes from me...and certain people who raised me that will remain nameless.

its all about doing it for rich people and kissing !!!!!!

I REALLY hope those !!!!!! are blocking out something and arent just your own additions.
Whaaaaatttt? I don't think that's generally known as 'waitressing' Tinkerbel! Though another moneymaking possibility Dinah may not have thought of :D

Not if we dont want to see a spate of murders in the area :)

    So yeah

Seems I wrote another book into the bible of The Ultimate Incentive.

And I did it with my old school quotations as the multi quote doesnt work over more than one page *GRRRRRRRRRRR*:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Hi NIM, back on form! If you want to quote across pages you could do what I do and start a reply for each page then copy it and add it to the reply on the next page, if that makes sense...

Maybe you should rent to go against certain people that raised you hehe, seriously though there is nothing wrong with you and Dinah having an idea of exactly what you want just don't go stressing yourself over it and not enjoying life in the here and now.

Sorry Dinah, You'll have to think of something else now :(

Tink - I get what you mean about the Uggs, I'll stay clear of ebay for them! Keeping my eyes open for deals now.

Cooked dinner for me and my sister, my yorkshire puddings turned into yorkshire pancakes. I can never get them quite right!
