Nope never been, which is embarrassing given we're just over an hour away. Will have to put some money aside on payday for that weekend, we'll need at least £50, probably more since she'll want to go out for a meal, plus it's opposite Betty's so I think we'll be needing to pop in for lunch on the Sunday before we leave! Think its fair to set asside £100, if we have some left over, great, if not, no problem it was budgetted for. She owes me £20 as well, not that I ever remember when I see her!
Just noticed your sig Poolie. One question, do you owe your wife money or is that your wife's debt?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Payday on Friday, get to up the money in savings and so on. On Friday it will go up to 21.67% and then on the 5th it will go up again to 23.33%. My New Year we will have 31.66% of our deposit/wedding fund saved. Thats something at least.
You are doing so well with the savings - that is really good amount to have saved by New Year. Fair play to both of you.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Have you taken into account salary changes due to NIM course and any increase you may get?0
-
I haven't actually. Oooooh NIM is due a 2k pay increase at Christmas, that'll only be an extra £100 a month, but that is still all money in the kitty. With a lot of luck he might get promoted again sometime next year too. That would be great for getting a mortgage. I got a 1% annual raise this year, comes in this month with backdated pay next month. Not loads but every little helps.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I know it is, and I'm not going to worry anymore - so slap me if I do. We've made the decision to live at home until the wedding, then hope to start looking for one to buy when we get back from honeymoon. We're both happy with that decision so I'm going to stop being a nightmare and wanting the house at the same time as the wedding and accept this minor compromise.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Good for you. I bet you feel much better now you have made the decision. Hopefully the Irish contingent will shower you with money as gifts as well!
