Marriage preparation is like pre-marriage counselling, making sure you expect the same things from the marriage, you understand it, and you feel capable and happy to adapt the relationship and so on.

Days are so busy. We're staggered we have friday night free this week, next week one or both of us are busy every single evening, we're free the 1st and 2nd, but the party is on the 3rd so they're free so we can make things for the party. Really looking forward to the week off!

Wednesday, NIM has to meet with his prayer partner

    Ooerr!

What's a reach out group anywho?

Sounds like you're a lot happier today Dinah! Crikey about the near car crash, glad you're both okay.

Thought I'd nip on before I head to work! Been baking since 7:30 this morning so I'm already tired. Made Humming Bird Bakery's Chocolate cupcakes and their Peaches and Cream ones. Had one of both to 'test' for my dinner - yum! Made a bowlful of Jelly to have for my tea too (coz I is the symbol of all things healthy)

Sorry to hear about the cheesecake though Tete! I'm 100% sure that they've thrown a few dud recipes in their so they don't loose out on business - I tried making the Blackout Cake and that was a complete waste!

Eek - lost track of time there! Gotta set off in 10 and still have the pots to wash :o Ahh! Have a nice end of morning everyone.

Our church does small groups of 5-10 people who meet once a week to catch up, pray, do bible study etc. I do like that aspect, but I feel the prayer partner is a step too far.

How are the peaches and cream ones? We made them a while ago and found the peaches just stick to the paper and basically they were rubbish!

Lol well we're mostly busy together, but yeah we tend to hit snooze for about 45mins on a morning just so we get more hugs time! Need to stop that now though and be up earlier so we're not in a rush.

Well I haven't tried it yet, might be gorgeous. Does look a bit anaemic though! :o

Dinah was just looking at something for work and came across 2010 weddings for £2010 - don't know anything about wedding planning though to know whether it's a good deal... Says something about Tesco vouchers too, but I think you've spent them all on the OU!

I've seen that, its a great offer! However we're not going to be ready to get married by Feb/March 2010. We are booked in to see the venue though, hopefully can get an idea for the following year. We might end up booking something like that this time next year - get a short list of 3 venues or something then wait for the right offer to come up!

  • Ahh, I see, those were the 'selected dates' then!! Yes I think if you had to organise and save for the wedding in 5 months' time you might spontaneously combust!

12-18 months sounds grand to me. If we can get a bargain wedding venue out of season, we'll be able to afford the house, the wedding and the braces and uni course.

That would be great if you could do all that.

Sounds like you and NIM have a very busy schedule. I am always too tired (or maybe lazy) to do much in the evenings so admire people who do so much.
