Been pretty manic at work - I'm not used to it! Nursing a can of diet coke while scanning through threads is more my area. On the brightside, work is really picking up for us so hopefully no more worries.

Thats great news, glad to hear things are picking up.

No plans for us tonight, going to take some more ebay photos - try and make up the money for the gym! Seem to have a bit of a bidding war on two of my things on ebay and still got 2 days left yet :D

Been making some more cards for christmas today and dare i say it...i've been planning what im getting everyone for christmas presents.

The Bebo room pays a few pennys extra - not on bebo either but I don't think it matters!

Nothing wrong with planning for people! I was updating my christmas present spreadsheet last night getting all giddy, turns out buying those canvas pictures for presents has somehow saved me £30!

Found what I'm getting my mum and brother too, plus I'm going to get my mum something like this when my £12 arcadia voucher (didn't know they did £12 vouchers!) comes through.
  • Haha exactly! Nothing too exciting here, out for cheap n cheerful tea with OH tonight then he's coming over to sample the delights (or frights) of my choc cheesecake.

Had just made a really long list of things to do tomorrow night and now you've gone and reminded me about ebay! Going to see if I can get it all done anyway as well as ebay, most of the things are easy jobs that I've been procrastinating about so need to get my bum in gear!

Brilliant news that you're busy Cinny - in the nicest possible way!

    Right, goodnight all! xx

We've all been very quiet today. Where is everyone?

Not a good day for me today. looks like I may have cost the company £4,000 on a clerical error when I got confused.

Long story short, I dodged a bullet cause its the first survey I've had to run from start to finish on my own.

People were surprisingly sympathetic to me about it...and the company director was a bit sarcastic but in a funny way...although he was very "disappointed" in me. :(
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Uh-oh NIM! At least they were kind to you, if it's your first mistake it shouldn't really be that big a deal, and it wasn't really that much money to loose. Sounds like it could just be a typical rookie mistake? I suppose as long as you learn from it, all should be reet!

Waiting for OH to get to my office should be here in a minute so I've not bothered to start work :A On a productive note I did manage some STP last night, gone up 1 star and my accuracy is about 87% so not too shabby. Hoping to get into 90% accuracy and another star this afternoon. Wasn't that bad actually, got given music I actually like (folky or britpop) over the typical badly recorded rap.

Hello! Just waiting to go to work (not supposed to start till 10 but I'm getting bored so I'm heading off soon- bit of overtime for the holiday!) and I've actually updated my signature! Dinah'll be so proud!

Ooops about the £4k NIM! In my first job I'm fairly sure I lost our company plenty of money (and gave a lot of our customers freebies by not charging properly!) so don't worry too much! Sounds like they're not *too* bothered so it looks like you'll be OK, it could have been much worse, like £40k!

Cinny, I love that Union Jack poster! I'm trying to mentally fit it in my house somewhere! I love Etsy, my list of favourite sellers is growing rapidly!

Oooh, and I told OH about the pocket moeny idea and he's well on board, I hope his tightness is going to rub off on me, he struggles to spend £50 a month (if he doesn't go out on the beer!) so I need some of that resolve!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Wow Birdie, you're really making headway well done! And it'll soon come down further if you're only spending £50 a month!

Well done on STP Cinny, I con't think I'd have the patience for that TBH!

Oh dear NIM, at least they're being OK with you about it - just make sure you get it right from now on!

OK, feeling all motivated (for now), got a huuuuge to do list for today both at lunchtime and for later on. I've found about 30 things to list on ebay but I think I'll stop at 15 tonight and do the other 15 next Thursday - that staggers the sending of parcels a bit as well! Am hoping to fit in the baking of some oreo cakes too. Have a feeling I'll be up til midnight :(

Tete - As long as you're motivated I'm sure it'll be done in no time! Good going with the ebay items though, I seriously struggle to find just 1!

Birdie - Your sig is looking great!! 8(?) months to pay off almost 5k to meet your challenge though, think you can do it?

ETA: Just moved a few pence over into savings to make my total £460. Should hopefully be over the £500 mark by tomorrow!
