Hola Amigos! (Practising my Espanol for my holiday! Errr, is it Amigas since I'm talking to girls??? Hmmm, will have to dig out My Spanish Coach on my DS to learn a few more words!)
Yikes on the close call in the car this morning! You're a very lucky lady!
I'm another one struggling with money this month; the party was so expensive with all the costumes, food, decorations etc (we won't be having another one anytime soon!), I'm looking forward to payday next Friday so I can start afresh! I should be OK next month as I've cut down on 'Me' spends a fair bit. I'm actually seriously considering giving OH my bank card and getting pocket money off him so I can't go over budget! Although there's a big wedding fair in Harrogate next weekend and I'm going with my friend and we're having a posh late lunch afterwards (and going on the bus so wine may be consumed!) so he may have to give me extra spends for that day! See, I'm rubbish, I'm already planning on blowing the budget before I've even set it!
BTW, I'm really giggling about Cinny's tea last night!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Write down in advance how much you are allowed each week birdie, so you can't say you need an extra, its already allocated. Your plan would be rubbish for me, I do 90% of my spending online. Have started buying bits for our party in the hope we won;'t get lumbered with a big bill. So far a bag of bagels, 3kg of beef, 3 blocks of pastry 2 of which I made into pizza pinwheels, and a bag of dried couscous.... anyone fancy it?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I try and set myself a budget (ish) based on what is going on that week. For example this week I am not doing much so shouldn't need to spend much. Next week though need to get my sisters birthday present and we are out for dinner. I have 1 week 6 days till payday arghh0

I'll have to try that, the problem is that our weekend plans are generally spur of the moment depending on weather, friends, OH's boredom levels etc so what should be a cheap weekend turns into an expensive one! I'm going to try to be really strict with myself and allocate x amount of money to each week to cover what needs to be covered and try to stick to it! I think if OH has my card it'll stop me buying things spur of the moment online too! I'll have to stop and think about whether or not I really want to buy it and go asking for my card, 9 times out of 10 I bet I'll decide I don't want it afterall!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. My sister cut up her Topshop credit card a few months ago when she was inbetween jobs. She still kept on getting little bits from them and I said 'Wow, you're budgeting way better than me!' and then she confessed she'd memorized the card number and details. So you'd need to try and wipe the details from your mind a bit!
Good luck with the budgets, I write mine up as soon as I know what me and OH are doing at the weekend. Might be abit tough if you and your OH do things in the moment but you might have to try and regin that in if you're trying to clear debts anyways?0 -
Wow that's pretty impressive of your sis Cinny, but bad!
Hola Pajarita! Que tal? Claro somos tus amigas, pero hay Poolie y NIM tambien, por lo tanto necesitas utilizar 'amigos' - un hombre entre 1.000.000 mujeres y necesitamos utilizar 'amigos'
Yikes that was probably sooo wrong! Pajarita means 'little bird'Can't hepl really on the budgetting as my idea of budgetting is working out what I need to buy that month - if it's train tickets or money aside for holiday spends or whatever, and take it out as soon as I've been paid, then I know what I've got to play with
Nothing like Ms. Bank Account Extraordinaire over there!

Oooh thats really good where is it Tete?!
I really fancy going to Denmark, doubt I can get there cheaply though.
Birdie give yourself money for what you need and then say £15 a week spends on top of that, then you have to budget. You can't not go out at all, but randomly spending out of bordeom is a problem.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yeah thanks Wendz! I'm just a bit concerned in case it's a sleep-on-the-boat-spend-6-hours-in-the-city type one which I don't think is really worth it. Anybody seen In Bruges with Colin Farrell? One of the funniest films I've ever seen!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
