I thought so Poolie, I'll stick it in my calendar. What was the website again, national express east coast? Just realised one leg of the journey is teatime friday, might not be too cheap!

www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com is the site. There might be trains teatime on friday as the trains will left London early afternoon so will not be that busy with rush hour travellers. Also by the time the train gets to Darlington it might be quieter. If we get in quickly then there may be some cheap tickets.

Is it me or is September always and expensive month. We are getting a bit tight for the end of the month as well. Trying to avoid shoppng this week and not using the car much unless for work. I could take money from Savings account but want to see how far we can push it.

Every month is a tight month! This one actually is better than August was, don't know why though.

We don't think we can sell NIMs car, we're kind of gutted but church is just taking up more and more time, and hes going to need the car on wednesdays when im at the course.

  • Ugh, I actually had money left last month, then spent loads of it just after payday, on course and stuff - not just frittering, and now I'm struggling to hold on til the 26th :( And it's getting to winter and I'm going to need fleece/gloves etc for walking!

Poolie, we'll be heading back south on the Friday so don;t know if that'll make a difference.

What are you doing for the church Dinah that takes up so much time?

    Monday, my reach out group
    Tuesday, NIMs reach out group
Wednesday, NIM has to meet with his prayer partner
    Sunday, Church

Also, my prayer partner has to be fitted in there somewhere. Plus we need to start the marriage preperation course soon. Have to be honest, I'm not enamoured with the prayer partner thing, especially since it was thrust on us with no choice, and I've never gone in for en masse prayer, I think its a more private thing.

  • No, I'm not religious but I'd say it should be private too. What the marriage preparation? Like pre-marriage conselling type thing? Sounds a good idea!

Yeah it will. Will means that there is likely to be more cheaper tickets as the trains will be arriving into London very late.
