I've not sent mine out yet. Aiming on the end of March, but I've got to make them all first, so it's ore likely to be April, but that's only the day time invites due to family members travelling far and needing to book hotel rooms etc.

Evening invites will probably go out May/June time

Hi everyone, Im getting married 14/8/10 and I live in Plymouth!!!! Will be sending my invites out in the next few weeks due to people travelling and the venue being out in the sticks in Tavistock.

hmm I don't want to wait, I wanna send out all my invites asap!

I am making them though and with two kids and a business to run, it may well take me a while! I have got all the stuff I need and have mocked up a prototype so see what it looks like and im very pleased with it so I'm going to stick with it rather than change anything.

Also had a dress fitting last night and got an amazing lady to do all of the alterations for a really good price so i'm chuffed with that. I can't wait for the dress to actually fit me!

I have decided to get at least one thing done for the wedding each week so I can tick it off the list and hopefully i'll be organised well in time and not have any last minute stresses!

I think I will send mine out in Mayish time. I think. I keep on changing my mind lol! I will ask my mum, she will know the answer to this.

I went back to pick up my dress (just 1 week after i went for the fitting) and all the alterations have been done perfectly, fits like a glove! Im so pleased.. that's another thing to tick off the list!

Have also bought my table centrepieces, booked cars, bought flower girl dresses, got photographer, chair covers, shoes, tiara errr cant remember what else!

Hows everyone else finding the planning?

Hi all, I'm an August bride. Getting married on 29th Aug. So far have done the following;-

Booked and paid for Holiday Inn Package
Booked chair covers
Invites all out to guests
Photographer booked
Dress bought
Suits ordered x4 people
Flowers ordered
Booked hair and make up-got trial on Sat
Getting quotes on cakes
Booked honeymoon to Carribean on a cruise

Not bad! But still soooo much to do!

ooh where did you get your suits from helen79? that's one thing i havent even started on...
my invitations remain half made! really got to get on with them but working so much i havent had the chance
also still waiting for my friend's mum to get back to me with quote for the cake..

still got to sort flowers, hair, mke up,, bridesmaid dresses, suits, err loads!

We hired them from Moss Bros. I even managed to get a discount of 10% cos I work for the NHS x

Well most things sorted now, venue+food, photographer, dresses, DJ. OH has to sort out mens suits and we have to get his ring. Only other thing is chair covers, the venue is havin a bridal day on 21 March so hopefully get a deal on them then
My mum has made all our inviters and wants to send them out at the end of the month. Think is prob a bit early but sure!
