I probably could Pickle! Had a 'mare day at work yesterday, now I have to spend the day finishing one of my Coursework pieces for uni. It MUST be done today so I then have a week to write the big essay (again for uni!). I'm working nights next week which messes me up a bit but Tuesday is Billy Connolly night! I'm rather excited about the whole thing.

Also my mum's friend's son-in-law who's a driving instructor said he could fit me in mid-January but has yet to say how much he would charge....don't know whether to go for him or the local really good driving school. I have budgeted £25 a lesson for it so if it's cheaper I can use the extra money towards the house fund or the VSP (aka the car fund). Hope January is proving good for all of you!

Oh and I've started to keep a list of everything that I've used up cosmetics/toiletry wise for the year. It's a great motivation for me to use things up before buying new stuff!

I was thinking of trying to get the GF and me to do the same thing, only slightly different. At the moment our toiletries lurk in storage boxes under a wide overhang from our sink/bathroom counter. TK Maxx had some neat stands which were effectively four open metal baskets attached to a frame which I've considered buying. That way everything we have would be on display and we wouldn't be tempted to mistakenly purchase stuff we don't need ;)

Congrats on the BB win - I won £135 last night but can't withdraw it until Tuesday (as I accidentally tried to withdraw a tenner yesterday). Have never won that much money on anything before - terrified they're not going to pay out :o

Well done on the win EB! I've never won so much in my life before either! Putting things on display is a good idea, I've been through and sorted everything out and now have a list of things that are almost finished to use up this week. So far for January I've finished a huge Soap and Glory sugar scrub and a honey bubble bath. Next is that honey body lotion and a shampoo...

Frivolous things like that are taking my mind off the big stress that is trying to juggle uni and work plus seeing the Boyfriend enough. Although writing a research report about the recession is kind of interesting.

Went to see Billy Connolly last night and it was amazing! I have never laughed so bloody much in one evening. Although some of it was a bit on the rude side for my rather conservative mother, my dad loved it and the seats were pretty good!

Snow here is not that heavy but still going strong. Was going to go into uni today and spend all day in the library to get my coursework sorted but I really can't be bothered so after I've had some brunch in a minute I'm going off to get cracking on it!

Sounds fun. :) Snow here has been awful (over 6" I think and I've had to dig my little car out this morning) and shows no signs of going away for a while. Brr!

Best of luck with the coursework. (Where's the 'study' smiley when you need it?!)
