Oh and I have another Dilemma similar to the Uni library one (which has been resolved in my favour, I might add...);
I sold 2 items on the Lush forum about 3 weeks ago. I gave them to my mum to post because she had a few parcels of her own to send. I get an email a week later saying that they hadn't received them. I checked with my mum, and she was adamant she had posted them so I passed the message along. A few days later my mum discovered a bag in the boot of her car with the 2 packages and one of her own in it. So I apologised to the girls, posted the items myself and thought that was the end of it. One parcel arrived but the other one hasn't. It's been 9 days since posting and I'm now getting grief on both the Lush forum, twitter and 3 of my email addresses about this girl not getting her parcel. I have proof of posting but she wants her money back. I'm starting to think she's trying to pull a fast one on me, but I'm so fed up of the whole thing I might just refund her.

Soprry for the late reply but this laptop has gone mad since I uploaded a ton of music on it and it keeps glitching, bugging and crashing every 5 minutes! Grr!ruby_eskimo wrote: »Oh and I have another Dilemma similar to the Uni library one (which has been resolved in my favour, I might add...);
Glad to hear that's sorted as it would have been a MAJOR headache, otherwise!ruby_eskimo wrote: »I sold 2 items on the Lush forum about 3 weeks ago. Hmm...a toughie. Firstly, I take it that you didn't give out all those e-mail addresses/Twitter address, and that this is now actually bordering on cyberstalking? If so, reply onto from the e-mail address you normally use for the Lush forum, and it she messages you to any of the others again, report her to the Lush forum and say how you are 'scared' that she is cyberstalking you and that you don't feel you deserve it.
Secondly, reply to all official Lush e-mails first, and if you really think she's trying to pull a swifty then tell her you are sorry for the delay (again), but that if she is still dissatisfied with the service that she should post the good back to you in their original conditon, and you will reimburse her not only for the products, but for the return postage. Now this could be bad as it may mean that you have to put your money where your mouth is and stump up the extra postage, but if she is pulling a quicky, she will get back to you with a quick 'Oh, well, it's not worth going to all that hassle - it's ok, I'll keep them.' I guess it depends on how much you can afford to lose the postage costs and how much you think she is trying to diddle you.
Best of luck one way or another!Please call me 'Pickle'

Hehe sorry, life has been rather hectic of late! Not much time for interneting! Work is trying to kill me, uni is trying to kill me and as for my Lush stalker, she was trying to pull a fast one all along! Got it sorted and life is sweet again.
I now have a week off work (finally) and have it fully planned out:
Monday - Go for a run (C25K week 1), write Advanced Qualitative essay (starting it tonight)
Tuesday - Go to uni, finish essay if needed, start writing presentation for next week
Wednesday - Go to training course for work, go to uni, carry on writing presentation, submit ethics form for Advanced Qualitative project
Thursday - Carry on writing presentation, go to Fossil shop party to get my 20% discount on the purse that I want
Friday - Go to Lush shop party (been saving up for a treat) and then finish presentation

Crikey...and that's a week off, is it?! You have my utmost admiration! :A
Glad to hear that you have got your Lush stalker sorted: if it's not too rude to ask, how did you flush her out as trying to pull a fast one?
Also, if you are taking up running, hop (or rather, jog) over to the DFW running thread...the people there really know their stuff and the majority of them seem to be hardened marathon runners (but welcoming to the less able, none the less.) I spent a bit of time on there and know that they aren't great fans of C25K as they say it doesn't give the muscles etc. enough time to strengthen etc. to get used to running, resulting n more injuries. Or something like that.
Check them out at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1981397 if you like!
And best of luck: you seem very busy, but most importantly, organised! :APlease call me 'Pickle'

I haven't updated in so long! So what's been happening:
- I've applied for a new job. Basically the job I do now is not a long term thing (especially when I've finished my masters) so I've just been on the look out for what I could do when I've finished. Then this job popped into my inbox and I had to apply for it. However they closed it early (the same day it was advertised!) because they had so many applications! I emailed them asking if I could still apply and they sent me an offline applicationSo fingers crossed for that. It will be a £400 a month pay rise (which is what my monthly spending is at the moment!) so it would give me £1000 to save! :eek: This is all hypothetical though because I probably wont get it.
- It was my birthday on Saturday and I got about £125. I spent £40 on Clarins stuff to treat myself but the rest is going on my Car fund. Basically I am going to try and get a car with cash (£2k approximately) so in addition to saving for the house I'm trying to save for a car too!
- I've finally managed to get some overtime at work, a night shift on wednesday! That £100 will do very nicely!
- I am going to join the gym at my local college next week. It's £30 a month on a rolling contract so I can cancel any time, and they are open ridiculously long hours so I can go very early in the morning 4 days a week. Going 16 times a month works out at about £1.80 a time and that includes use of the pool too. I'm determined to lose weight and get healthy for the summer (and the rest of my life!)
- The final big thing is I am currently going through my room and getting rid of all the things I really don't need. I currently have 11 things listed on eBay and a couple of them have a few watchers. At the moment its all body shop and makeup and hair stuff that I haven't used so if it doesn't go now I will just throw it away. Next on the list is books and clothes and hand bags!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
:wave: Ruby!
It has been a while, but you have been a busy little bee, haven't you?
Firstly, happy belated birthday! :bdaycake:
Secondly, best of luck on the new job: I hope you get it. I need one of those as well, so if you see one that would be appropriate for a pickle, let me know.
Thirdly, I'm DYING to find a gym contract like that, but no gym round here seems to do one. Is your gym a small, local one, or a chain who I could convince into such a deal? I don't want to get locked into a 12 month deal for my mobile, let alone my flaky gym attendance!
Finally, best of luck on the Ebay: it's brilliant for getting rid of stuff and generating a bit of income. I'm so pleased at the space and money I have got from it.Please call me 'Pickle'

Thanks for the birthday wishes and the good luck wishes, I shall keep an eye out for you if you want something in healthcare support or stroke services?
As for the gym, its the local college so it's quite small and the students run it themselves with the teachers but it's quite nice in there. Got to wait till next week because of the night shifts this week.
As far as Ebay goes, all my items are being watched and a couple have already been bid on. There is a charity collection next week locally as well so any clothes that I don't think will sell will go to the charity. It's more a case of just getting rid of stuff rather than making money, but that's always a bonus!
No uni today because I had a hospital appointment, so that's some money saved. Plus no uni for the next 3 weeks after tomorrow so that's a lot of money going to be saved!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Not unless you want all your patients to have a severe relapse at the sight of me! :rotfl:;) Thanks all the same.ruby_eskimo wrote: »As for the gym, its the local college so it's quite small and the students run it themselves with the teachers but it's quite nice in there. It sounds like a plan, ruby! :T I'm always very impressed by how organised you are. I am hoping that one day I can also have that level of organisation in my life.
Hope all's well at the hospital. xPlease call me 'Pickle'
