Who is the smurf for this question?
What is the best way to get a cheap, legal copy of MS office? With a hard copy?
Thanks, flypeeps, I know someone will have the answer!

Are you a teacher or do you have/know someone with children at school university? If so you can get one for £35 here . I used them last year and they post you the cd. Does state for non commerical use on it.

There is no such thing as a cheap, legal copy of any Microsoft software
Seriously, if the PC it is going on will be used by someone who is a student or teacher, then you can buy under the education program Hex has provided the link to.
Otherwise cheapest is to get a MS employee to buy it on their staff discount (VERY cheap!) or to find someone who has a corporate contract that entitles them to an employee discount (not huge, but it all helps).
If you're getting a new PC at any point, buy a copy with that (known as OEM, where the licence is tied to the specific piece of hardware you bought and can't be transferred) as its usually at a significant discount. Be wary of buying from small independents (sorry, but it's true) and certainly don't buy online from anyone other than MS or one of the big names, as there is a huge amount of counterfeit about and a lot of activity going on to combat it.
I've now read the paper so can put it in the recycling. Work filing is done, just mid-year reviews to complete. Weather is filthy, and as usual all my energy disappears with the sun! I CBA to go to the gym, so need to decide what I WILL do before having a bath and an early night!0 -
Hi everyone,
Back on it tonight after a night at the free cinema and being too late to use our Tesco vouchers at Bella Italia last night! Pretty tired after work though so we'll see what happens! Need to get back to the Ebaying tonight too... this decluttering is starting to pay off so I will stick with it, especially with a lovely 3 day weekend coming up!

note to self page 34
OOh (RANT ALERT) DS persuaded me to hand over his (overdue) pocket money this morning because he was going to town.. Just got in myself to discover he has blown the whole lot on 1 DVD (£13.99) - at a fiver a week he cannot afford to do this and he is driving me mad with his spending. This is while awaiting the Wii game he ordered to come which still has to be paid for. DVD is sealed - it's going back (and the same thing is available from their online store at £9.99!) If they are stroppy I shall tell them he is 14 and it's a 15 DVD!
Looks like I'm in for the HHC:rotfl: at 6.30 BTW
Boots bargain alert - they have Natural collection on buy one get one half price and some of their Nat Coll is in the sale bits. I just got 2 gift sets which were half price at £4.50 for £6.37; DD can use them for gifts for her friends (and she'll pay me for them!)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

My HHC ran on a bit as I was enjoying myself!
Listened to Tuesdays' womans hour on i-player
Cooked up all the potatoes, made a vat of mash
Cooked mince - 1 cottage pie complete, one bottom for the freezer, half a dozen mince & mash (DS sized) for the freezer, beginnings of chilli for 4 or so (but need to get a chilli later).
Cottage pie into finish off - veg all prepped & in steamer ready to go later.
S & S kitchen surfaces.
Rubbish out.
Inventory of fridge (we go away Friday) to see what needs using, freezing etc - more cooking tomorrow methinks...
Reorg a shelf and can see the whole cupboard needs turfing out and cleaning as tom puree everywhere (think it cracked somewhere) - but tomorrow when its lighter.
Quick 5 mins with a drink then will get on - awaiting my visitors back with DS from a trip to see the sea. I do hope they had fun despite the weather.:D
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

held up by chaos caused by gas leak in Egham...
Ah I see - so that's what it was - worse than any school day or rush hour combined getting home from work tonight. This thread is a mine of information....:T:rotfl:
I did fly at the office today as well - much decluttering of my desk. Out of date things ditched, and assorted rubbish removed or rehomed. This flying stuff is addictive...and a tidier working space is so much nicer to be in.
