I think sometimes they take a few days before that spacecadet feeling wears off. Hope it eases soon for you.
Oddjob nice to see you
How cool is this DD in bed :T:T She fell asleep on the hall floor next to the dog, so I've just put her in her bed.
On the flying front I have washed up, 4xWM, 1xTD, hoovered, dusted, fed the animal and talked to the animals:D:DI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
[STRIKE]Clear DS2s room floor, everything boxed and piled up
Clear DS1s room floor, everything boxed and piled up [/STRIKE]
Clear DS2s cupboard in his bedroom
Empty linen cupboard into bags
[STRIKE]Disassemble DS1s bed[/STRIKE]With DPs help of course
Adding to that as I am making ok progress
Empty filing cabinet
3 washer loads - found more in the boys room in toy boxes etc
Pack shoes after flinging broken ones
Also phoned and offered M's Mum a spare PC, will just have small smart looking glass desk downstairs and use it for laptop, DS2 can have ours and she can have his. Think she's happyShe's getting one of the wardrobes for Matthew's room too and probably loads more stuff when we are finishing packing :rotfl:Matthew already has a box of toys/books started before the clear out so that is going well. We need to clear some clutter so may aswell fill her house up ha ha ....
DS1s now on the futon bed for tonight, might stack the mattresses and put DS2 on there in DS1s room so I can use DS2s just for piling boxes/bags in. Might stop them emptying them as I pack them, finding 'treasures' they haven't seen for a while etc  Think we'll try it and if they don't settle then I can move him back.
Please do excuse me thinking things outloud on here at the minute, helps me get my head round it, sometimes I read through and think 'what a stupid idea!'Soappie I could really do with a Gordon's right now, just fancy a G&T, not had one for ages, pah maybe when I have moved :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........

:hello:Hi everyone!
Been busy all day, and am shattered!
DD is celebrating their 'year' with BF - he planned a surprise, and wouldn't tell her what they were doing, kept saying it would be a walk around the town where he lives, and maybe popping into Oxfam! She texted me this morning to say they were on the train to London, and then later that they had tickets to go on the London Eye, which she has wanted to do for ages. Lucky girl!
I've made use of the time to do her bedroom, so, Kid's room Done!!:D:D
I've spent the afternoon buying DS2 school shoes, and also football boots at the nearest outlet. The boots are very flash, lime green Adidas, originally £120, and reduced to £28! There are some pluses to taking a size 11...
I had a lovely visit to my Dad's - I was a bit apprehensive, as it's actually the first time I've been there since Mum went into hospital two years ago - we've always met at the hospital or nursing home. It felt just comfortable, although I half expected Mum to walk in at any moment. Then I went on to see my sister, and got home rather late. Dad has planted the loveliest little rose garden, all the roses have names like Dearest, Lovely Lady, Missing You, Golden Anniversary and so on. Nearly cried.
boddy - I'm so glad that you had a great day yesterday.
I've now forgotten all the other things I wanted to say - hugs all round then!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Oh serena I just nearly cried reading that, what a wonderful thing for your Dad to do, oh I would have cried.
soappie, cheers, I will drink to that, with my can of pop I managed to grab as I can't be fluffed to wash a cup after I use itas I'd just finished the washing up :rotfl: bad me
Linen done, just the coats out of there to do.......DP was moaning I throw nothing out before moving *which I have* , he said last week he needed new clothes as his don't fit/are no good, so I said ok which do I throw out *oh none yet I need to check through after we move* MEN!!!One day I might be more organised...........

me too and I just read it. Huge hugs for you Serena.
We have spent the day stripping out the old bathroom, and the horrible tiels and the yucky avacado fittings. Emergency trip to BnQ for fittings and we now have a working white loo upstairs. Looking good but we have an 8cm drop side to side in a 2 metre wide room created from part of a corridoor, part of the old BR and the old loo,to resolve so that things are not visually wonky. I love our house very, very much but sometimes it can be rather challenging. Does it count as the BR finished if I have cleaned what little is left in there? No tiles, no floor covering, no bath/shower. Just a lovely white victorian style loo and some freshly plastered walls.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

I refuse to cry though I seriously want to. I managed not to cry at the end of the film Persuasion (Jane Austin I think) when it was on the TV this afternoon as I was sorting out the front room. And I refuse to cry at such a touching rose garden.
I may allow myself a little blub when I go to bed...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
