I have rearranged my bureau (and sorted it out a bit)
Now all the photos are in one of the drawers under the bed so one day when I am feeling VERY strong I may sort them. I did find a few duplicates of the kids when they were younger also exOHs grandma kept a page of press cuttings from when his brother got killed (RTA) obituary notices etc so I passed them on to him (he can ASK for his birth certificate though...I'm not THAT nice :rotfl:) so I have put DVDs in the bottom drawer all organised and nice...
I have some I haven't got round to watching yet! And I am supposed to have a copy of Taxi Driver but it wasn't there (I won some on Radio Two once...before I had a DVD player!)

I am now so tired I could weep but I'll be strong until bedtime.
And the living room is less like Steptoe's yard - but only a bit. The front room is beautiful.
I still have loads of clothes in the kitchen but one long work surface is clear. And the recycling is sorted and out in the bin.]
I need to find something to eat before I fall over.

And, I don't often say this, but I think I could do with a few hugs if anyone has any to spare...

Rose you don't have to sign in to my accounts first to get to the applications page do you?

Ahh rose, if you click the 'Click to see all your accounts' it brings up a sign in page... that should be it? Apart from that I can't seem to see anything else, or anywhere else you can log in.
Thanks, I've tried that already. Have clicked on anything and everything, I'm convinced the page doesn't exist! I've emailed them asking what theya re going on about!

Hammer the definition of bate into your ancient brain too to help - bate is to lesson or abate - quite logical really....
I've got a new role as "annoying know it all smurf" - as we are having an English lesson - I think you mean "lessen" = to decrease

Ishtar, I will wave to you when we go past Abingdon – I have fond memories of that place

Boddy glad you had a good day yesterday, I bet it was a real mixture of happy and sad emotions, how are you feeling today? You were obviously very well thought of by all your colleagues and clients, that’s lovely

Hugs Holly, hope he pays up

Natty, glad to hear lodgerdog’s mum is appreciative, that’s lovely, it’s nice when people actually care about their pets welfare unlike some people I could mention. Hope you are ok today

Catznine, yeah I think it’s the Costco at Lakeside that my friend goes to. How weird about the grotto and everything! Bizarre!

Zoe, you gotta talk to your DH, just tell him and then you won’t have to worry about telling him anymore

Elly, wow great news about the kittens! Pics please!

Thanks for the dieting tip GnB, I will look into it

Oddjob, glad you are still living, that’s always good. How are you?

Big hugs FeeFee, hope you are feeling better soon

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Zippy!

Have had a lovely day today - we went over to Wakehurst Place and met up with Mum and Dad and some friends of ours who are over from France. It was so lovely there, a really gorgeous sunny morning, and the autumn cyclamen were spectacular. And it was so lovely seeing our friends, the husband has a chronic health condition that nobody knows what it is, or what the prognosis is, and they are both lovely so it's good to see them as often as we can. And I have had chocolate fudge cake and got it out of my system!
They have an absolutely wonderful gift shop there, I had a lovely browse round! Got a couple of little gifts for my sister, as I haven't given her a present for ages so I thought I would collect little things and give them to her when we go away in September. It was so tempting in there, I must have seen about 20 things that I wanted to buy!

On the way home we popped into Mr T as they have a sale on their clothes this weekend - all I got was socks! DH got a few things tho, so that's good.

We are going away tomorrow - not sure if I will be able to get back online before we leave, so will see you all Monday night or Tuesday!

Have a lovely weekend everyone! xx

Thank you all for the hugs. I needed them.

I have tried to work out exactly why I needed them and I think I have an answer or two

    a) I had gone too long without food. But that's resolved now and I'm already feeling chirpier because my blood sugar levels are back to where they should be

    b) I think I'm taking on the angst of my kids. I think because they are feeling a bit down and stressed, I'm soaking those feelings up particularly because I'm being the strong mother and giving them the hugs and the support etc. etc.

I need to learn to partition or deflect or something...

Gawd - that's far too philosophical for a Saturday night.

Well tomorrow the family turn up, I know I will enjoy the day but will be cream crackered at the end of it. I have learnt though that life is about making happy memories while you can and that is what this day is all about! Monday will be about recovering!;)

Off to bed now, hope you all have a lovely Sunday!
