muddyfox470 wrote:they are definitely lying about the 'not able to get stock' as other online retailers have them in stock, so if they wanted to sell these they could actually get them for us (if they tried - and they cannot say that they cannot sell an equivalent specced card then - as they are available on the market).
see if it is possible to get a contact for the supplier, and maybe you can chase it up, to ensure they aren't lying!
if only there was someone who lived near ccl so they could inspect the warehouse to make sure they aren't just with-holding stock from us.

I agree, it would be interesting to see whether their suppliers are truly out of stock or whether they just said that rather than having to honour a mis-price... Wonder if anyone actually got the cards at that price?
If CCL do get stock in a couple of weeks time presumably we would have a case to request the items at the original price? Haven't gotten round to asking trading standards yet...0 -
Asked for suppliers details and guess what they wont tell me - apparently against company policy. Further more I've been informed in the email response that "all information contained within this email is confidential and therefore may not be made available to any other party" - don't know what this means sounds like a farse to me.
I'm tempted to take it to court just for the fun of it.There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -
Is there anything wrong with going to the credit card company and informing them of fraud - what will happen - do I get a black mark - do CCL get a black mark. I'll do that for CCL no problem - besides my credit card company just wrote to me to inform me that they have increased my card limit (without request by about £5000 so a little damage presumably wont hurt anyway). There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0

Still waiting for my money back
Just thought that maybe this is a sign of companies with cash flow problems - offer a really good bargain at a superb price, cream in a load of orders, give it a few days then tell everyone you can't get supplies and refund them.
Net result - big pile of cash in your company accounts at the month end, to make your cash position look good?
UPDATE - Now 12th May and the money STILL hasn't been refunded to my card. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
Some people who failed to get this card might like to know I have just had salt rubbed in the wounds by being sent an email from CCL which includes as one of its key deals an XFX 7600GS 256MB card for just £89.99. I have emailed to ask if I can buy this as it is clearly an equivalent product, but that I want to buy it under Loss of Bargain (i.e. at the same price) otherwise I will be contacting Trading Standards.
Anyone who wants to see the card on offer (because it quite sensibly ISN'T in their main product list) should follow this link:

Cheers
BTW to rub it in further - if you want just 1 they are £89.99 each. If you want 2 or more they are discounted to just £96.16 each!!! Go figure

Well what a surprise!! CCL "forgot" to refund my money to my credit card when the cancelled the order! This means they've had my money for almost a month - has anyone else had this with their order?
I suggest that people think very carefully before ordering from this lot in future. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
I had mine refuned within 2 days after cancelled the order0

Another unhappy customer. I was told that the stock wasn't updated as it was over the bank holiday and i could buy somethingelse.
Pants!! I decided on the back that the incredible bargain to build myself a whole new computer system. Everythingelse I purchased ( CPU - ebay, Fans and CPU cooler -CaseTech, mobo - savastore and PC Case - yoyotech) all arrived quickly and prompt. Then I found I had to look for another graphics card."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0
