So, can anyone tell be if this card is any good, please?
I assume it is since, at Pricerunner you can narrow down the specs of Graphics cards and this one is by far the cheapest when selceting it's particualr spec (there are about 5 cards listed altogether).
I'm just on a budget, see (who isn't!!) and I want to be sure this would be VFM.
Thanks. That window's cracked on both sides!!0 -
Yes I hate those sponging non-tax paying ebayers.
Not everyone on ebay is dodgy

Although it is a hotbed for tax dodgers who stock up on cheap goods, then sell them on just to make money, and make no kind of declaration of their earnings to HM Customs and Revenue. Yes big businesses do things to avoid tax, but they pay a lot more tax than does someone who watches daytime TV and profits on people's willingness to pay more for something, while not paying taxes. I can almost guarantee a big issue will be made of this at some point in the near future and it will be mentioned in the news, and Ebay records will hold tax evaders to account (talking about the biggest sellers who earn lots to make a big example of them in headlines in newspapers [e.g. 21 year old male drives Aston Martin, lives playboy lifestyle, claims £50 a week benefits, earns £5k a month on ebay, and owes £20k in taxes. Just an example of course... But not completely out of the realms of possibility. And such a person going to court would make Ebay sellers more forthcoming in declaring earnings.])
Buying one thing, deciding it's not for you and selling it is fine. But when you're a "trader", i.e. buying simply to sell in order to make money, you should pay tax on your earnings and in fact the law says you must do this or you can face a custodial sentence.
Unfortunately I can guarantee such tax evaders will read this but won't feel it's wrong. All I can do is point to lack of money in the NHS (mismanagement is another issue) and point to tight fisted tax dodgers.
Apologies for directing the conversation away from a Sparkle PCI-E card

This one is £106 inc. VAT but seems better quality than the Sparkle, for example GPU running at 500MHz instead of 400, memory clocking at 900MHz as opposed to 800. Don't know much about graphics hardware but does this imply Sparkle actually operates more slowly?I ♥ MSE0 -
scan have this one..

Well I for one am declaring my ebay earnings (not that its that much at all) but as an accountant am aware of my responsibility to do so

got email from CCL :
''Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing a stock issue with the following item(s) you have ordered:
VGA4272 256MB Sparkle 7600GS DDR3 HDTV & DSub & DVI PCIE Possible Delay
Until we are able to resolve the above issue(s) your order may not meet its scheduled despatch date. ''
lets wait and see0 -
If you google it, you'll see Ebay provided the Inland Revenue with details of high volume sellers - from (a very hazy) memory, those selling 100+ items per year. Again only from memory, but I'd say it was 6-18 months ago.0

I could hold a totally separate argument that the NHS has had a shed load (well actually a warehouse load) more cash in recent years, and the shortage has more to do with structural problems than with the eBayers who fail to declare their earnings. Could just as easily say it's because the Government is spending their money on providing official transport to take their mistresses home after a late night session in a Government provided grace-and-favour apartment. But I won't.All I can do is point to lack of money in the NHS (mismanagement is another issue) and point to tight fisted tax dodgers.
However, I also got the email saying this card is not in stock and may not make the dispatch date. CCL have already taken the money for it though, so as far as I am concerned the contract is bound and they will have to honour it.
Does anyone know how this card is supposed to perform against a 128MB 6600GT?You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
