Yeah. Thanks, lol. I noticed that after I'd posted, but thought I'd leave it in the hope that someone would decipher it for me

Here's another snippet from https://www.mikeshardware.co.uk (not sure where it was originally taken from  ):nVidia GeForce 7600 GS was released on March 22nd. The 7600GS is based on the G73 core but runs at slower clock speeds with a 400Mhz core clock and an 800Mhz memory clock over a 128-bit interface. Initial benchmarking shows that the 7600GS will outperform a GeForce 6600GT by around 10-15%, with the GeForce 7600GS offering performance around half way between a GeForce 6800GS and a GeForce 7800GT without AA/AF (the lower memory bandwidth will certainly hinder performance with AA / AF enabled, making it slower than the 6800GS), and generally better than the Radeon X1600 XT. The 7600GS is expected to retail around $129-$149.
It's apparently set to replace the GeForce 6600GT. Other users have mentioned "low power requirements" although I haven't been able to find out exactly what this means
. Hope my PSU will cope! 0 -

But do you think they will be willing to give a better alternative?
how good is the company in customer service?
I have bought virtually all of my computer related goods from CCL since they started in a little backstreet in Bradford about 10 years ago.
They are now in a super warehouse between Leeds & Bradford. They are a VERY reputable company and provide a good service. If you live near then you can buy all the products direct & savw postage - but prepare for a wait because there are always vast numbers of people there.0 -

2. I didn't think that selling second hand goods involved tax. I just sold a motorbike through the freeads and as far as I know there is no tax to pay on it. That is why second hand company vehicles do charge VAT because they didn't pay it first time around. Last week I broke my old computer (just got a dell hence checking this forum) and sold the parts on ebay - surely I don't declare the money I make it would be a nonsense.
Were talking about buying goods with a view to selling them.0 -
Selling your used items isn't a problem. If however you are buying and selling items purely to make a profit then all your profits after deducting selling expenses like Ebay/Paypal fees, packaging and postage etc. must be declared to the Inland Revenue on your annual tax return.surely I don't declare the money I make it would be a nonsense.

I found a review of this card here: http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?cid=3&id=1856
Seems to be a little bit faster than a 128MB 6600GT and also runs passively cooled, so helps stop your PC sounding like a helicopter taking off. Not so good for overclocking though as the memory chips get very hot.
Still, looks like if we get one of these it will be worth upgrading from my 6600GT.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -

anyone who claims ebay earning on their tax return is simply a mug. I mean how do you define ' buying and selling items purely to make a profit'. What if you buy something-and you do intend to use it yourself for a while-but you know that in the future you should also be able to sell it for a profit?biglugs wrote:Selling your used items isn't a problem. Next thing, you will be saying that people who sell stuff on loot should be paying tax too!0 -
I think if you have used something and are therefore selling it secondhand the Revenue position is that that is OK. But if you buy something and sell it new I think they would expect the profit to be classed as taxable income.Next thing, you will be saying that people who sell stuff on loot should be paying tax too!You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
