The grand plan for Catzpaws ... can it be done?

[STRIKE]- Have a NSD[/STRIKE]
- Drink 8 x water - managed 7!
- Take dog for 60-90 min walk - exercise for both of us and chance to practice a bit of training!
[STRIKE]- Make naan bread for tomorrow's curry (freeze half) [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Make a big batch of red lentils for freezer[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Clean bathroom[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- - Stay off Internet tonight and watch The Wire together with OH (he thinks I'm being very antisocial with my laptop in the evenings!)[/STRIKE]
I made the naan bread but had to use olive oil as ran out of sunflower. NOT very authentic! The dough is sat in the fridge, so not tasted it yet. Hopefully it'll be passable and not too mediterranean!! Going to try with chilli flakes, garlic and coriander as a topping. Did 4 batches of lentils for soups/curries, etc. 3 are in freezer, 1 is in fridge for curry later.
Plan for today is:
- Have another NSD
- Make up doggy treats
- Sort out CV for professional membership upgrade (needs to be signed by employer)

If you're thinking of retrying jogging, it might be a good idea to a proper running shop (with a treadmill machine where they can analyse your gait) to get advice. I have specific trainers for my problematic feet and they cured any pains I had when I first took up more jogging outdoors. :j
Catz, were they terribly expensive? Or, even if they were, are they worth the cost? Would love to know where you got them from them, thanks!@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? oh i could never say that any of my crafting stuff was cheap, that's why i've some of the debt i have. but it keeps me out of mischief and means i don't have to buy cards that often (well if i've made a stock of them whilst i've been in the mood for it)0

I bought my first pair from a shop called Up and Running in Manchester. They watched me jog (much fun in a shop  ) and I found out that I was a heavy overpronator (land on the outside of my foot and roll in), which meant that I needed a pair of motion control shoes. I ended with a pair of Saucony trainers. I think they were close to £100. The second pair, I got online (as I knew what my problems were) and they are these ones. I think these are actually cheaper now, but I still got them at quite a good price.
For me, yep, they're totally worth the cost - even at the more expensive price as I wouldn't really be able to run otherwise.
Also, as I like gadgets, I have a Garmin Forerunner thingy, which is a GPS/heart rate monitor watch. Not cheap, not necessary, but good kit. But, more important than this is a good sports bra!

I'll let you know how I get on, when I get chance to get some that is!

The naan with my curry was lovely with not a hint of olive oil - really pleased I made them as really easy and literally cost pennies
. My hubby and I love our curries - yum!
Was on a bit of a downer last night about money, baby-making plans, career prospects, life, etc. etc. Silly really as I have so much to be thankful for, but I can't help but feel anxious about it. Is it wrong sometimes to feel really fed up?I know there are others that are far worse off, so I should be counting myself lucky really... but I feel very much in limbo at the moment... like I'm waiting, waiting...
I calculated that, if we manage to get debt-free by the time I go on maternity leave [CP laughs at herself for her ambitious plans although, apparently, on paper it's all doable if was able to stick to a tight budget], we can probably just about manage on OH's income without savings for a year's maternity leave. I know you can't plan these things too much. After all, who knows whether I'll want to stay at home that long??? But, I don't think I'll go back as a full-time wage slave and all that would entail with childcare - not to mention doggy daycare costs.
Anyway, it's all food for thought... Getting it all down on here helps me think things through in any case, which is all good.

That's exactly how I feel.... I have good days and bad days, but if you set yourself a budget that will get you where you want to be it makes it easier to stick to it as you have a clear light at the end of the tunnel.
I can't do anything until Christmas then everything should just follow on from that...
chin up though hun, you are doing so well, especially having heart to hearts with OH that should definitely help things.

I've been toying with the idea of buying a second-hand exercise bike as I did enjoy using these in the gym (using an ipod workout that takes you through a spinning type session) and did see good results. But, I don't like th idea of it taking up loads of room in the spare bedroom. Where do you put your airwalker?

We don't have much room, but airwalker is currently in living room so I can watch TV when I'm on it!We just pack it into the cupboard if we have people round

Thanks Missy... it's really heartening to know that I'm not the only one that feels this way sometimes.
I know that I need to focus on the positives... and I am going to try harder to be more positive and proactive with these plans. Cos the bigger picture is that end goal... a family and financial freedom :T:T:T.
