    Hi Catz :hello:

I've been away for a few days (friends' wedding) but am now catching up :)

I agree with Lemon Tree, go to the graduation - it's not something you'll ever have another chance at so it's well worth the cost :)

Yep, I'm now def going to the ceremony. Will be good to have the day off work if nothing else!!

Hope you had a good time at wedding BTW....!

OH away tonight, so my time is my own tonight. So, my plot for today is to have a very MSE day today:

    - Have a NSD
    - Have HM bread rolls with cheese for lunch (yum)
    - Sign up with new scratch cards website
    - Make more HM bread
    - Check British Gas cap to make sure tarriff is not moving to an ££££ one

Doggie (aka furry features) is now at new doggie daycare place. When I left her this morning, she looked like she was having an absolute ball. Ah, worth every penny....

    [STRIKE]- Have a NSD [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Have HM bread rolls with cheese for lunch (yum)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Sign up with new scratch cards website[/STRIKE] Won 10p. Woo hoo!
    [STRIKE]- Make more HM bread[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- Check British Gas cap to make sure tarriff is not moving to an ££££ one[/STRIKE]

    :j:j:j

HM bread may well be a total disaster though as I didn't quite have enough yeast!! As I was going to deviate from the recipe, I decided to go a bit mad and throw in some cocoa powder and vanilla essence. :rotfl:

Was a bit alarmed to discover that British Gas capped tarriff was in fact NOT a cap at all. So, did a price comparison and switched to another company. Should save about £200 a year, plus there is £15 cash back.

hi how was the bread in the end? and what new scratch card site are you going to use?
we have 2 puddy cats and i'm not sure how they would appreciate a doggie moving in. Realistically i think we'll have to wait a few extra years before we get one.

    Spends update...

Drinks with OH last night - £10.

Today, we helped sister move into her new apartment. Was a really lovely afternoon - and not too much hard work - phew! After this, OH decided to treat ourselves to lunch - £30 (oops). £1.50 parking. We also went to an Asian supermarket to stock up on spices and lentils £8.50 (but got lots - v cheap) and then went to Morrisons as OH needed safety pins for half marathon tomorrow. Picked up some cider (£2) and 3 packets of 'whoopsied' bread rolls @ 19p each and a beetroot salad @ 19p. Rolls have gone into freezer for lunches next week. Spent £4.30 in Morrisons.

Bread was actually okay in the end - v surprisingly! Well, they've all gone anyhow :p They were a bit brioche-like (like sweeter bread) and not really very chocolately at all.

Scratch cards... yup, using the ones you mentioned (thank you !): Virgin and Butlins. I've won about 50p in all so far...

Re: cat and dog situation, I think it's good to take a cautious approach - but I think it can work - depending on the temprament of the pets. Before we got pooch, we were very concerned with how the dog would be with our cat. Fortunately, because it was a private rehome, we were able to see how they were together before we made the leap. They were a bit apprehensive at first (pup wanted to play, cat, um, def did not!) but our cat quickly established his higher ranking position in the hierarchy! :p TBH, it does work as our pooch is not a dominant dog and does not have a high prey drive ;).

Oh, I was meaning to ask... how were your wedding anniversary celebrations?

i love brioche bread - very yummy!
our wedding celebrations were quiet but nice, just pottered together most of the day and then went for a meal and came home and watched Harpers Island. OH didn't come up with any ideas of an anniversary pressy so i made him an exploding box full of love which he liked.

I'm sure when we do eventually get out dog the girls (aka the cats) will soon let it know they are the boss and peace will reign eventually.

hey catzpaws, just read your diary from start to finish, and it sounds like you are getting organised, I wish I was a disciplimed as you with drinking water and exercising, these are my major downfalls.

Good luck and I'll be reading with interest.

    Hi Lemon Tree

Oh, sounds like you had a nice time ... but, what is an exploding box of love? Never heard of one of these before?

    Hi Missy

Thanks for reading my diary and leaving a message!

I must confess that I haven't been drinking water recently (will be starting again this week). :o:o:o I need to get back on the case really... as it's been another thing that I've been feeling guilty about!
