Other spends today: Wine and milk - £5, doggy training - £5.
Also, thinking of how I can up my income a bit. Can't really do a second job because of current commitments - and, quite honestly, nor do I fancy doing extra hours .
Have registered to do surveys (just with one company so far), but need to do more, methinks. Heard lots about scratch cards - could give that a go. Tried Dooyoo last year and got a couple of vouchers, but found I had to spend FAR too much time on there. Maybe ebay... ?
Will need to check out the Up your income board again, I reckon.
My mind is whirring from all of this. Honestly, I had a dream about yoghurts the other day. In real life, OH has yoghurts for his work packed lunches. I dreamt that I bought a MASSIVE pot of yoghurt, whizzed some fruit to go into it, then put it into loads of small tupperware boxes for him to take into work.... :rotfl:
On that note, I'm off to watch The Wire. Watching the first series... it's fab!

i do butlins bingo and virgin scratchcards. I've won about £100 since the start of this year when i decided i was brave enough to try them.
I've just made my first purchase through Quidco, but have to wait a while before i find out if i get paid from it.0 -
We'e away this weekend for sister's birthday, so have needed to do a big food/booze shop as it's we're going to a self catering cottage. Spent £51... leaving a princely budget for next week for groceries (yeah right !).
Christmas presents arrived from Half Price Perfumes. The make up sets are lovely, but the perfume set has actually got black marker on it (crossing out some writing on the box!), so thinking of returning this as it's no use as a present!
OH has bought a lottery ticket. We never play! But, you never know, it could be us - if you see my totals wiped at the bottom come Monday, you will know why :rotfl:!Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Hiya Catz
If it's a perfume you know someone will like is it perhaps worth re-packaging it all in a nice box with tissue paper etc? Not quite so MSE as there will be a bit of a cost but at least it would then look pretty
Have a good weekend

Had a brilliantly fun weekend away - totally worth every penny! Totted up cost last night and we probably spent £185 for everything (accommodation, food, drink, petrol, etc.), which I didn't think was too bad really. Managed to be more MSE by having take-aways instead of meals out, taking own booze and getting petrol money off sis and friend.
It's the final furlong before payday (this Friday - woo hoo!). And only £12 left in grocery budget (once I update my sig!). We're running really low on pretty much everything now, so will need to go shopping. Let's put it this way, I have been drinking hot cordial instead of coffee for the past week or so! Gonna give it a go anyway - ha! (just don't want to give up on things!)
Meal plan this week (1 meal at parents) as follows:
- Vegetable/chicken curry and rice
- Jacket potatoes and beans/cheese
- Spicy Bacon/mediterrean veg pasta
- Fritata and spicy rice
- HM leek and potato Soup and Jacket potatoes and beans/cheese
- Veg curry and rice
So, need to buy: cereal, milk, potatoes, beans, cheese, bread, sandwich meat, veg and fruit.
Oooh... it's challenge Catzpaws time!

Hi HB, the box is actually pretty small (it's a 'Vera Wang Parfum Luxury Travel Set' -so not prada as I mistakenly said on an earlier post) . I reckon the crossed out writing says "Not for resale" (though I can't tell under the bl00dy black marker!). It's the type of set that they might give away when you buy two items from the range... IFKWIM? Would be a VERY nice freebie though if it was! Not sure whether it's worth tarting it up or not.... !Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Signed up for a few more survey sites but been screened out on all surveys so far. Boo! Might try my hand at ebaying this weekend and see how things go, and sign up to some scratch card sites.
God, is it only Tuesday? Really looking forward to cheap but cheerful weekend. Aiming for a plethora of NSDs - to prove to myself that you don't need money to have fun (okay, so we have 4 bottles of wine in the house already... makes things a bit easier!).
Have a good day everyone (if anyone's reading - bit like tumbleweed in here!).

Good luck with your journey Catzpaws - You sound very organised and definitely know where exactly you're going with this and what you want to achieve which is brilliant.
Keep up the good work and veggie soups - you can never have too many! :T
I'll pop along daily and see how you're getting on.0 -
I must be that embarassing blob in the middle, with debt running circles around me - and me looking confused....? :rotfl:
Hope all's well with you BTW. I've been rubbish at popping over to the AF thread... mainly out of shame.... doesn't help that OH bought a case of wine from the barbers(!) on Friday. Quite MSE though at £12 for 6.
