This will definitely slow down... no more savings stashed away that I can use... Anyway, you have done tremendously well to bust your debt to where you're at now.

    Fanks Honeybear :p !

Thank God it's Friday... have had a funny old week in work - stressful and dull in equal measures. Aaargh! Probably not the right time to be applying for jobs but I do need to look for another job. Things have been very quiet in work and I've heard, via the rumour mill, that there will be restructuring.... I've applied for a couple of jobs already, but not heard anything back yet (one job had 30-odd applications... hmmmm), but have seen another job that sounds perfect for me and it's in my home town as well. Ideal!

The only thing is, if I do get a new job, then I think I'll have to postpone the baby plans...

Not sure whether I'm trying to do too much...

OH, who - bless him - has endured lots of long conversations about how unhappy I am with different things (he's a glass half full kinda guy), has just said that he'll support me with whatever decision I make. But, the thing is, you can't start a new job and just disappear off to have kids, can you?

Not sure what a 'respectable' length of time is between starting a job and getting pregnant. (irrespective of what what employment legislation says).

Anyway, I'll post this on a different board to see what others think, as I'm a bit confused with what I should do for the best....

    It's a tricky one, Catz.

I'm sure that legislation would back you but it's not necessarily how you want to start in a new workplace.

I may get shouted down for this but I think there's something a bit underhand when people do this knowing they are already pregnant & won't be staying.

That said, it's not a situation I've ever been in so maybe others will have more of an insight

I know, I know. In my last job, a girl did just that and was practically a social pariah.

Mind you, she was - dare I say - a bit odd anyway (e.g. drinking/smoking in pregnancy - eeek! Not exactly in line with health guidelines or common sense).

I don't feel comfortable with the idea of it, but, well, I just don't know.

I've posted on the family board to see what others think.

Yeah, def "a bit odd", like I say!

Well done on your AF-ness, HB, that's great! You should be proud! I'm planning on zero bouts of 'illness' this weekend - still embarassed thinking about it now....

And, cleaning? Oh no, you don't want to do that.... :p

honeybear, when you find the cleaning motivation please can you send me the road map?
i'm starting to worry about things where i am, and we're in the same situation that we're talking about when we start trying for a baby, i do wonder if it's the best time, but will there ever be a best time?
