i'd agree with you.
are there that many on here that consistently say this - i can think of Hamish and that's it
Oh Really????
Perhaps you can point me to a post where I have said house prices can only ever go up both in the long and short term.
I have NEVER made that assertion.
In fact, I have frequently stated that HPI will eventually end. As soon as population growth/household formation ceases and reverses, or house building starts to lead population growth rather than lagging it.
Or of course in the event of plague, nuclear war, meteor strike, or any other end-of-civilisation event that would no doubt keep the bears happy.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

So do you think average prices will fall further over the next year to 2 years?
Even I think average prices will fall from todays levels, as soon as this winter.
But I also think the absolute bottom of this cycle was most likely feb 09.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

There is not one single person on here that believes "house prices can only go up"
But there are quite a few that think house prices rising beyond all economic fundamentals is a good thing."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

The majority of people I know don't give such thing a seconds thought, and have no engagement with penny pinching and constantly living thier imagined future lives in thier heads.
Most seem to accept thier lot and get on with life. The perma pessimists long for another world, another life.0 -
