I have called 999 if I've seen an obstacle on the road (I saw a tree down across most of the A25 one morning & a sheep running loose another morning). To prevent an accident.0 -

That's great, it's not very considerate owning a 4x4 unless you actually do off-roading IMO but at least if you indicate and don't think you're superior to everyone else because you have a bigger car, that's great news. :T

thats a bit different to complaining about someones driving though.
a loose sheep on the road will be dangerous, a tree across the road will be dangerous, but someone not driving to your liking then thats not an emergency at all....work permit granted!0 -
Oh for heaven's sake you're just splitting hairs now. Generally calling 'the police', 'the fire brigade', 'an ambulance' means dialling 999. You weren't there, you weren't one of the people he bullied, tailgated or forced out the way. You weren't the accident he would have caused had he not been stopped. I didn't know I had to consult a forum before I was allowed to dial 999, I'll remember that if my house ever burns down.0

I have a Nissan X-Trail and a small Renault and i am not a bully.
I keep my distance from the car infront only to find cars swerving into the gap but i still keep my distance.
I feel the small cars are the bullies because people see them as a nippy little things they can swerve and nip in and out of traffic as shown on TV ads and films.0 -
I was tailgated on the M62 for 14 miles by some silly cow in a 206 a few weeks ago. I was in a Vectra estate and she was detirmined to get passed me! She must have been 20 ft behind me all the way. This was at 75-80mph in lane 3. She went into lane 2 to try to sneak past to get onto the M60 ringroad and then indicated at the side of me and started to change lane as if it was my fault. So she got a blast of the horn, two fingers and got blocked for another 12 miles0

I've also noticed, today, that if someone else is driving the same car as you, they are either nice to you, or try to race you to see who has the fastest car:rolleyes:0

Stop being so blasted righteous woman! Caring for sheep and the like, my ar5e. You may like animals, but you don't think twice about ramming me off the road in your ruddy Cayenne. Its people like you that give car drivers a good name, I mean, bad name.Genie
