No, we'd been there for quite a while.

Perhaps he was using the lanes as they were designed (overtake, move back to the left?) and was getting frustrated by people not doing the same.
What was the age/sex of the driver of the Panda (just to see if my theory is correct)?
  • Has anyone ever noticed how everyone who argues about driving is always convinced they are right and never seems to consider that they might not be? at least a little?

And also how perfectly reasonable, intelligent, thoughtful people suddenly start referring to other people as "plonkers", "idiots", "****'s" etc?

If someone was walking a bit more slowly in front in the street would you shout abuse and them and harass them to move over for you? If so, well at least you are consistent, if not why do this in a car?

    Strange

Personally I discuss driving. Lifes too short to argue.
I used the term idiot to balance the debate as the X5 driver was branded a lunatic (we dont know his side, someone should defend him).

I resent being accused of being reasonable, intelligent or thoughtful.

As far as someone walking in front slower, I find flicking their heel causes them to kick their other foot and stumble works. This allows me to pass and continue on my way at my own pace.

It was my dad who's mid 40s. No he was overtaking in the proper manner, but hadn't just pulled out straight in front of the X5 if you see what I mean. If it has been my mother driving you'd probably have been right though! Well it doesn't really matter, the X5 was clearly bullying everyone in sight and going too quickly. I hope the police caught him. We came off the motorway before we had a chance to see.

And don't get me started on people walking just that little bit slower than you want to go. I feel like shooting them sometimes.
It is amazing how people are generally polite in pedestrian mode, but that completely changes as soon as you step into a car. E.g. someone walks into you by accident; you both apologise and carry on. But if someone cuts you up in cars its a completely different story. And I do think its only this country as well. I was in Malta a year or so ago and a guy accidentally cut us up, then actually shouted 'I'm sorry I'm sorry' out of his open window as he went past!
  • That should do the trick! :rotfl:

I called the police as it was so dangerous.

im curious as to what the plod said to you?

was it "right oh good outstanding member of the public we will get the chopper up immediatly to aid aprehension of this lunatic as it may not be safe to chase him in a high speed pursuit vehicle as he is as you say a lunatic".
    ...work permit granted!
