Mine broke a few years ago, it came fron John Lewis about 20 years ago (I got it for Mum as a brithday pressie then "borrowed" it when I first moved out), never been able to replace it:sad: Now I use a tomato knife for cheese (and absoultely everything else in fact) But mine wasn't a peeler type, it was a slab of marble with a wire cutter attached and was FANTASTIC
I do still have a set of proper cheese knives for cutting different types of cheese which look very posh at dinner parties though:D

piglet6 wrote:Yep, it definitely seems that they are pretty rare over here, but widely used on the continent. We had ours as a wedding present from a Norwegian friend, and when we opened it, none of our friends/family who were there knew what it was
- best guess was an oddly shaped cake slice!! :rotfl:
Love it though - its been in use for the last 10 years and we use it all the time...!:T

Saw some lovely mini graters and slicers at Amsterdam airport with a lovely blue Delft design on the handle:)
You can get slicers and graters at Doobies farm shop (the shop next to it) - for a reasonable cost.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

Zeitgeist wrote:Yeah, they are really excellent. Kids get even slices of cheese, and you know how fussy they are. We got ours from Lakeland:
