I've always used one of these slicers. Also good for slicing cucumber to go with the cheese in sandwiches. Lovely for getting nice thin slices of edam by slicing longways along the wedge - no way I'd try that with a knife :rotfl:0

I have seen those before but I still use my favourite knife. It's falling apart but I'm clinging on to it for grim death because it's the only one I have that cuts really thin slices of cheese.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I used to have to cut cheese with a cheese wire but haven't used the cheese slicer's that are pictured. Grater or knife in Queenie-Land.

I was reading this thread thinking 'I want one' as i'm trying to lose weight so a sandwich which my usual thickness of cheese is a no-no...
Was putting the washing up away today and realised that I actually have one already! I bought it from Tesco fairly recenty and thought it was a pizza slice for getting pizza out of the oven!0
