We have one in the utensil drawer, never knew it was for slicing cheese though. Might try it next time I have some cheese.

Hi Jay Jay you are so right - that is a cheese slice!
Secondly - a word of warning, lol. I have a lovely scar running down my thumb from an accident whilst using a cheese slice!!! I was making cheese sandwiches for work and accidently the cheese slice slipped and took the top of my thumb with it! I am sure the cheese slice is perfectly safe and the only moral to this story is to be wide awake before you make your packed lunch!! :rotfl:
  • Are we talking about a cheese wire here? Does someone have a photo of the item you're talking about.

Try using it to make perfect chocolate curls. spread the melted chocolate straight onto the worktop and let it set then use the cheese slice on it. you have to hold its 'nose' up a bit but it's fantastic - much better than holding a knofe blade at an angle
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

I don't have a cheese slicer, I always use the bread knife, I also find it's the best thing for slicing tomatoes (sp).

Yeah, they are really excellent. Kids get even slices of cheese, and you know how fussy they are. We got ours from Lakeland:
