If what Deloitte say is correct, and they make the recommendation, and all calculations are complete, I can't see it taking the FSCS 2 weeks to get back to you.

We will have to keep an eye on the FSCS site as when they start to make payments, they normally advise on the site that the first payments are being made and start giving regular updates

  • Great News, I have received a cheque for £17K today as compensation for misselling of PPI by Picture. I can't believe this has finally been resolved after 4 years of struggling to pay these loan sharks.

This has got to mean good news for everyone, if they pay out for one person then surely the rest must follow.

Good luck to everyone, I think you will all hear very soon x

Hi Marshallka hope you get your 'water works' sorted :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Cheers hun for your kind words its good to be nearing the end and the fact that it looks like we will be able to keep our home after all:T:T:TI am never moving out of here again;)
I want to send you a plaque to remind you of us all. It would mean so much if you do get to keep your home dialysis, it makes it so worth it on here most days.

I remember your first posts on the site and it was actually me that picked up on it (not blowing my own trumpet here either) but just did not want to happen to you what had happened to me. I had been through it although no-one on here knew really until I said it. I lost my home and must admit it was harder than ever to let the bailiffs have the keys (although i was trying to keep your pecker up at one time:o) and so wanted to help.

I just hope that some of it did. I gave up the fight without a fight really as i did not know how to fight and also mine was "complicated" to say the least. It was also a long time ago but it does always haunt me that I did not fight. I just let them take it. You have fought and fought and you should congratulate yourself for that. You deserve this dialysis.:T
  • Comp was worked out as follows:-

    Original PPI premium - £14096.75
Interest charged to date - £5619.34
Plus reasonable rate of return - £194.32
Less rebate due on cancellation with insurer - £427.46

    Total £19,482.95
They have paid 90% of loss above £2000 - total £17934.66

    :T:T:T:T

I still can't believe it, after all this time - there is light at the end of the tunnel and I feel like an enormous weight has been lifted.

Fingers crossed for everyone else xx

  • I've still got my loan with Picture and will be phoning them tomorrow to see how this effects my monthly payments and yes, they have paid the whole lot back even though I hadn't finished paying! This is better than I had ever dreamed of and believe me I dreamt every night of beating this company!
