The last time I came on the forum was when I was fighting a PPI claim in respect of Picture. I did receive a refund and the firm was then passed onto Webb resolutions. I wondered if there has been any further developments of interest since Picture went into default. I have picked the odd bit of info up re Webb not being authorised to administer mortgages but wondered if this was correct and if so what does this mean for us as the customer. ;)

    Hi there

When I was away I had a voice mail to call deloittes regarding a claim with the Fscs

when I called them back the said it had been passed to the next stage!

Am I right in thinking this is back to Fscs claims handler? And if so how long does it normally take to here the outcome or is it still a waiting game?

    Thanks
  • Hi there

At the end of April I started a claim against Picture Financial regarding missold PPI. I received an application for compensation form from FSCS on the 14th May and completed and returned it in the post to them on the 16th May. I received a phone call from Deloitte on the 18th May just confirming a couple of things on the
form. I then received a letter dated 21st May stating "we can confirm that we have received your application form from FSCS for your claim against the Firm and the initial reviews have now been completed."

I have today called Deloittes for an update and have been advised that the claim is with the data gatherers . Can anyone advise me whether this is a good sign and how long it normally takes from here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for being a pain and asking so many questions; I am now planning on doing as Amersall says and asking for the refund to be taken off the loan, but wondering how this would work?

    PPI was £9980 ish
We have had cash back of around £5600 I think
I'm estimating our PPI payments came to around £4,900

So if the amount we are due back comes to less than the PPI of £9980, should the full PPI still be taken off the loan?
  • Hi. Has anyone had any success in reclaiming PPI sold by The Personal Loan Express? They went into administration some time ago and I have had no luck in reclaiming PPI from the lender (GE Money) despite contacting FSCS, FOS and the FLA. I am about ready to give up, but just wanted to check if there was any other route I could pursue before I do so, as I genuinely believe I have a claim and Citizens Advice have advised the same. Any advice will be gratefully received! Thanks.

Rang Deloitte today to see how our claim is going, they have received the information they required from Nemo, some sort of spreadsheet and it is now ready to go downstairs to be processed he couldnt tell me if it has been upheld or not but i would assume i would not have got this far so fingers crossed.
