Just a quick update - phoned FSCS this morning and they don't send out blank application forms. I need to email them with a load of details eg date loan agreement signed, names on loan, reason(s) for mis-selling and (excitingly) who I would like the cheque made payable to!! Definitely sounds promising but as it's SUCH a lot of money I really don't want to get too excited too soon.

Thanks so much for your help thus far.....onwards and upwards :)

They must pre-fill the form and say it should take about 2 weeks for them to send out the form and estimate another 6 months before I hear back from them.

    hi Suzysu,
Sounds good to me. I think it is as I said yesterday,FSCS have made a blanket decision that all Picture PPI was missold. Sounds like it is just a case of working out the figures, not to first determine if you have a claim ot not.
I just cannot see anybody not being paid out.
    Good Luck
    xx

At the start of our claim I didn't think we stood a chance of getting it all back. We rcd our £8872 PPi plus interest - total payout £9600:D:D, they pay out the first £2000 of the claim and 90% of the remainder:):)
Hope it won't be too long to wait. It will all depend how long it takes to get all the info from PICTURE in order for them to calculate what is owing

I'm a bit confused about one point with my PPI however. In the policy it states that if we don't default, then in years 3, 4 and 5 we are entitled to a refund of 25%, 15% and 10%(I think) of the PPI value. The first payout is due in May but what happens now that I am putting in a claim to have the PPI refunded?

I am assuming that the FSCS won't have made a decision that quickly, but will I still get/be entitled to this rebate? If so, will I have to pay it back if I do win my case? Who would pay it anyway if Picture are now in default? Sorry for so many questions.....

    Hi blakeney

You could give the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) a ring on this and ask them, they should know the answer to this one.
I think loans taken out after Jan 2005 were all recorded and you have the right to request for a copy of the recordings, if they cannot supply them in a cd form, what about written phone transcripts perhaps, I am sure they are supposed to supply you with one or the other, so give the ICO a ring on this one, good luck, please let us know what they say if you don't mind, cheers.

    Hi,
Called deloittes today for an update and have told that my file has now been sent back to fscs.

Does anyone know how long things should take now. My case has been classed as priority?

    Thanks.

    Hi Hayston

    Sounds like good news then.

Now that you have rang deloittes and been told they have passed your file back to the FSCS I would personally ring the FSCS to make sure on this, then they should give you some sort of idea on when you should be recieving your payout.;)
