Well I wrote to Aviva (the insurer) and have had a couple of letters back to say that they are looking into it. The 2nd letter which I received about 4 days ago said they will get back to me in 10 working days with a final answer - i'm assuming this will be - its not our fault blah blah and i will have to take it down the FSCS route! - They have requested our info from Paragon. I really can't imagine that it would be straight forward! lol - i will keep you posted.
Thanks x
lol not to worry.........hope they do look at this in your favour, feel free to pm me as well when you want to, we can always start a brand new thread - not a problem, and if they do not uphold you always have the FOS on that one.;) Catch you later. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

So strange that you should ask about this and today I hear back from them!
Anyway, they have investigated it quite thorough but won't take responsiblity as it was Click that sold the loan.
The said although the loan is in both mine and my husbands name that the insurance would have only have been in my hubby's name as i wasn't working at the time. Which is fine. Still only covered him for 5 years though and we were told we had to take it out etc.. Its quite annoying when they say that we had chance to change our mind during cooling off period as we wouldn't have done so as we thought we had to have it! Grrr...
Said i need to go to FO if want to persue it. Which we will but i'm not sure if we need to go straight to FSCS as they no longer operate?
Sorry to ask on here. Don't know how to private message you? i'm not good on this.

Hi hun, wow what a coincidence.
Right, first of all you cannot go to the FSCS about these as the insurer is still running and Click would not have been protected by the FSCS, so like myself you will need to submit the complaint about the insurer instead to the FOS as these would have been governed as an insurer.
I could not go to the FSCS about Click either due to this reason of them not being listed with them.
So go to the link here:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
You have the choice of downloading and printing or completing online then print off, or ring the FOS first if you want, and arrange for them to post a form out to you, then you enclose copies of the correspondence from the insurer with the complaints form.
The FOS will consider taking this on for you, like mine, mine is now in the queue waiting to be past on. The FOS are considering making the insurers responsible, so this is another direction.
If you want to pm, press on my name and the option of sending me a private message will come up.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
It is nice to see more cheques coming through, once again!
It is hard to make out just what order they are working in(beats me)!!
I was told chronilogical, but it doesn't appear that way.
Hopefully the end is in sight for those still waiting
Good luck to all
x
Your right chickpee, what a relief it is when it is all over, and are not eating and sleeping damm PICTURE!!!!!
I know I was told it was in chronological order too but I reckon mine was just sitting around for a while. It is so frustrating though when the money makes such a difference.
I was like you I couldn't think of anything else especially when I started to worry that we may not have a valid claim. I wish the FSCS had been more open about that as at least it would have lessened the worry if you were aware a cheque would be issued once the figures had been finalised.
I don't think there has been anyone yet who hasn't had a valid claim so hopefully that gives hope to everyone still waiting.
I hope this week brings good news for you all.0 -

There was only honey2's friend who was rejected and this was won on appeal, thankfully.
I just can't see anyone losing with their Picture claims. As you say, if only the FSCS would be a little more forthcoming, just to put mind's at ease, would be a great relief to those still waiting.
Hopefully the end is very near for those still waiting. It is such a stressful time and I feel for them so much.

Just really really really want the one with Twopart to be sorted asap. It couldnt' come at a better time for us! Its been back with the FSCS a week now so hoping a decision is made real soon and in our favour!

Hi thunders. I'm not too sure how many are still waiting, but most of the older claims have been paid out.
I think the majority still waiting are relatively new claims, but I could be wrong.
Showergirl is one of the older claims and newtonchang, but not sure who else
Not sure about twopart, but am sure di could help you on this one.dialysis,mammamia,honey.beaniebabe,saltyfish,funky,Gumbi,Lian,doogle,oldwulf,pinknico,Halpin,alyson,Barloo,jadone,demir,netabc,chickpee,dannyboy,tomgaskel,Lozza001,sandzb,di,marshallka,pengi,lynnie,busbyh,moggy,Kim66,honestbob,tobione,itdonk,arrongborne,thunders,newtonchang,mbones,showergirl, coffeetower,hayston,sappy,dolallytap,AuntieDeedee0
