Ok, just had phone call from..... my case handler (yay!) She has all the information back from Picture for my claim and is working on it, it then goes back to the FSCS who will check it over and decide if I have a claim for compensation if I do the FSCS send out a letter to confirm this.
The lady said it should not be too long now as they are actually able to work on the claims now. (yay!)

Still confused as to what makes you liable for compensation in the FSCS eyes and if anyone finds that out let me know!

But looking good and so nice to receive confirmation my claim is being worked on and hearing the words not long now from a claims handler!

    Keep smiling.xx
Really glad for you Pinknico I would have thought they would have found out by now if we are liable for compensation. But still at least you are moving forward now.:T:T

Yay! I can actually relax this weekend in the knowledge that something is actually happening!

I'd love to know how compensation is calculated... thanks to the PPI on my loan I couldn't sell my house when I split up with my partner and we have been forced to live together for over 2 years, waiting for this situation to be resolved... I still smile when I think that it was the PPI, which was supposed to help me out when whings went wrong, that was the factor that prevented me from getting on with my life!
Halpin I am so sorry about your situation this PPI has been more of a hindrance for us all I think, it makes me so angry when I was told by my financial adviser that he could have supplied sickness, etc insurance for £20.00 per month and this can be cancelled anytime.

    HI all

I have just rang Deloitte, and athough she couldn't give me any details of my claim, I asked what the procedure was. She said they do all the calculations and deloitte make the recommendation as to whether it is a valid claim. It is then sent to FSCS.

I am a bit concerned as I think over the last few days, we have all assumeed we would be getting it, I just hope we are right.

If you think about it she would have to say that. They just need the go ahead and I don't think any of you will lose. They were single premiums when all is said and done. Don't dwell on that one too much. SHe could not really say (without actually "knowing") you all HAVE valid claims. Just a figure of speech I would say.

    Hopefully marshallka,
I do keep thinking "single premium" suppose i'm just getting a little bit edgy
    Thanks

I know busbyh, I was really pleased to get a call from my case handler but when they said it went back to the FSCS to see if it was eligable for compensation, I thought "Oh no still not certain then" Gumbi is on the case!
