    Hi all.

Happy New Year to you all. Not been around for a while as have been busy. Unfortunately my Uncle also died on Boxing Day, so have a funeral tomorrow, not a great way to start the year! Spoke to Solicitor this morning with ref to my complaint, and does not sound like i am going to get anywhere with them, but will keep trying. Hope you all have a great 2010.

So sorry to hear your sad news. It always seems to be a Christmas time.

Keep at it Lynnie, don't give up on your complaint

Ppy new year allynnie my thoughts are with you at this time and I hope tomorrow goes as well as these things can.

New year first day back at work so I was refreshed and ready for a fight so spoke with the fscs this morning who told me that they still required the info from target (which was asked for on 15th December) so I rang them and they needed to speak with somebody who was in a meeting all morning but said they would call me this afternoon and surprise surprise the did. The required info will be dispatched later this week so my question is how long from now can I expect for a decision either way to be made?
Have the fscs decided to back my claim and just want numbers?
Can it still be rejected (as I still have a bad feeling) ?
Or is this just the early rounds that can still take 12 months.
Sorry for all the questions but I need to try and convince myself that this could still happen, lord knows what my wife thinks as I have told her on loads of occasions that it will be fine but I thinkthe doubts are beginning to show in me and my voice.

Hi there and Happy New Year to you as well.

As soon as they receive all the info they require they do normally get on to it. I take it then you rang the FSCS and Deloittes are the ones waiting for the info?
Have the fscs decided to back my claim and just want numbers?
As soon as they have the figures they work from them, they check the calculations and if you had anything rebated and take it from there. (think this is what you mean isn't it)?
Can it still be rejected (as I still have a bad feeling) ?
To what I am aware of, there was one reject back a few months back but they appealed and then all was refunded, so you should be okay.
Or is this just the early rounds that can still take 12 months.
I'm sure as soon as they receive all the info they require, it will be a matter of weeks, they give 6 month as a normal timescale but we are all told that and it have been resolved way before then.
Basically the difference is that the business are already in default, if they were still waiting to go into default then yes you would be talking 12 months or more.
Many of us here put in a claim before the businesses were actually declared in default, so that is why it taken longer, but because you are dealing with yours where the business are already in default it will not take too long now.;)
Sorry for all the questions but I need to try and convince myself that this could still happen, lord knows what my wife thinks as I have told her on loads of occasions that it will be fine but I thinkthe doubts are beginning to show in me and my voice.
You will be fine, do not worry, but do contact the FSCS now and again just for an update.
Good luck and we look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Bodkins, as I always say, don't despair. I'm sure once they receive the info it only takes a few weeks.
I know it will be your turn soon.
    Good Luck

    EDIT
As far as we are aware, the only one that was rejected was upheld on appeal, and I can see no way you can lose on this. Your reasons are no different than the rest of us.

  • I am looking for some help from everyone. I too have a picture loan and included in this was the PPI. I have never agreed with the PPI cover however at the time it was insisted upon by Picture. The facts were never explained and also the fact that my wife would not be covered. If I knew I had a choice I would have covered her as my job is relatively safe. I seem to recall the PPI sounded a good idea as you get 50% back however the fact that you are only covered for 5 years is a complete joke especially when this is added to your loan.

To cut a long story short I am looking for some help on what I need to do in order to make a claim for a refund of the PPI.

    Thanks

Hi there, first you need to contact the FSCS and request a claim form.
The number is on their website.
Give as many details and send copies of as much info as you can. There is no reason why you will not win on this, as we all have.

Send all the info recorded delivery. I sent mine special at a cost of £5. It was well worth it, as it is guaranteed next day and you can track it at Royal mail.
Just keep posting for any help you may need.

Our reasons were, 5yr cover,, but paid for 25 years!! only covered first on policy. pre existing medical conditions,to name but a few.

Just go for it and contact FSCS ASAP.

Good luck and keep up all posted, you will get lots of help on here

EDIT. WE HAVE JUST RECEIVED £9800 BACK! OUR PPI WAS FOR £8732.

  • Hi everyone happy new year here is the email update on my claim
We are unable to progress your claim until your lender clarifies some of the details surrounding your loan accounts. This information was originally requested on 26 November and we have not received a reply, despite the reminder we issued on 23 December. We have issued a further reminder today. We have noted your comments about the time limit, but this is intended to be indicative of how long it may take to resolve a claim. Ultimately, we are reliant upon the goodwill of another party, who I understand is inundated with similar such requests for assistance. We will, however, continue to pursue the matter, and FSCS will be in touch directly once we have completed our investigation.

We recognise that this may be a disappointment to you; if you have any further queries, please call us on the number shown below.

    Yours sincerely
this was what i received this morning off deloitte again its all down to waiting on picture or target as it is now so here's back to waiting fingers crossed
