  • I contacted Target this morning to see if they had received any information from Deloittes and had completed it in respect of my claim. I was given the usual information but after a little assertiveness and persistance I was passed to a lady who was dealing with the information Deloittes had requested.
She informed me that they received the first spreadsheets from Delloittes approx 1 week ago and were going through them as quick as possible in batches of 50. She beleived they were in no particular order.
She agreed to look into which spreadsheet we were on and call me back, which I honestly didn;t think she would do.
After a couple of hours I received a call informing me that they had dealt with my information and returned it to Deloittes.
I then contacted Deloittes and was informed that they had received completed info from Target and now had all the information they needed. They would not give me a timescale but informed me that they were now dealing with my claim to process it. Anyone have any idea how long the processing will take?
Dialysis I have sent you a PM.

Deloittes have just told me my case is under review so information is back also.

    Great news!

I think mine is at that stage too (I'm in the 210's) so lots of positive thinking going on right now! :)

Things are starting to look a bit better:T Just lets hope the processing bit doesn't take too long
Was your claim treated as priority Halpin?

Well thats good news for you:j I guess it also confirms that it makes no difference if you are priority and there may be truth in the fact that there is no order claims are being dealt with;) I am pleased for you Halpin. Fingers crossed now:D

I have been told that case under review does not mean necessarily that all information has been received.

Dialysis, take a look at this..
6.19 The CAB Service recommends that lenders who provide secured loans
should not be able to repossess the home of a borrower unless the
lender can prove that they took all reasonable steps to assess the
borrower’s ability to repay the loan. Such assessment should include
the preparation of an income and expenditure report taking into
account any identified or reasonably anticipated changes in the
circumstances of the borrower during the term of the loan. The Office
of Fair Trading should issue guidance as to the interpretation of ‘all
    reasonable steps’

Thats great info marshallka, you really do know the places to search:A. I think this could really help those under the threat of repossession.
I'm sure Picture did not do any checks on salary etc and as far as the house valuation is concerned, well that is something of a joke - albeit not a funny one:mad: surely when taking on a secured loan, it is essential for a true valuation to made.

Good news for you both Pinknico and Halpin really pleased for you:j:j
Marshallka thanks hun for the information it will be very useful to me when the time comes.

I agree Busbyh I dont think any checks were made and as you say valuation, what valuation. I am sure we can do something with this when the time comes They can no way value a house from the outside or a model valuation, how do they know what the house is like inside it could be empty or a wreck. The other thing with ours is that the house will never be worth enough to pay back the mortgage and the secured laon.:mad::mad:
