I wonder if the hold up is that the FSCS is trying to sort out a definate rule type of thing with regards to claiming the NCB, leaving the insurance usuable etc? Perhaps they are in talks with the FSA etc..... just a thought..??

you could be right marshallka. I have just been going over some past posts where the premium amount on cancellation Has been deducted from amount.
When I looked at this it was as if they expected it to be cancelled. I really do feel that have not calculated all claims the same, and maybe they have had to review what way they are working.

I am still trying to get my head around it all - If you look at one of the posts today with the breakdown, maybe you will see what I mean:beer:

Not sure they never ever reply to emails on there website has anyone got any direct email addresses i hope its not to long its so annoying

    Hi aaron
I always get a rapid response from deloitte, but I have never tried emailing Target.
I am getting really fed up with it all now:mad: When I spoke to deloitte about target, they said they(deloitte) have a dedicated fax number they use to contact target. I rang target and they told me no-one from deloitte had ever contacted them, which I find hard to beleive. I really think it is a waste of time contacting them as they don't seem to know their a*** from their elbow:mad::mad:

Aaron, it's best you haven't rcd NCB yet as FSCS would only deduct it from your setlement amount as they have with barloo.
He was paid £3000 NCB in Oct and rcd settlement this month minus the NCB.
If you receive it after settlement, they can not take this into account. Sounds stupid, I know, but this is how they seem to work.

Barloo has written to FSCS regarding this and awaits a response.

hopefully we should all be paid out soon.
I will have a look for that email address for you now

  • Morning everyone. Just wanted to let you know that my cheque arrived on Sat. I last called the FSCS on Thursday and I was told it was still with the assistant manager so I was very surprised when there was an FSCS env on the table when I came home on Sat evening. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    The calculations are as follows:

    Original PPI premium £14,970.00
    Interest £ 3,842.24
Less Rebate is canel £ 1,112.87
    Compensation £ 50.65
    Total £ 17,750.12
    Total Payable £16,375.11

Of course I am made up that the cheque has arrived but I can't help feel guilty when di, busbyh and others have been waiting for longer than I have... and it is only thanks to them that I even knew that making this claim was possible. :A Thank you SO much. xxx
