Morning everyone. Just wanted to let you know that my cheque arrived on Sat. I last called the FSCS on Thursday and I was told it was still with the assistant manager so I was very surprised when there was an FSCS env on the table when I came home on Sat evening. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    The calculations are as follows:

    Original PPI premium £14,970.00
    Interest £ 3,842.24
Less Rebate is canel £ 1,112.87
    Compensation £ 50.65
    Total £ 17,750.12
    Total Payable £16,375.11

Of course I am made up that the cheque has arrived but I can't help feel guilty when di, busbyh and others have been waiting for longer than I have... and it is only thanks to them that I even knew that making this claim was possible. :A Thank you SO much. xxx

    Congratulations

  • Congratulations Lozza :j:j

My husband rang the FSCS this morning and after being told for weeks that our case was under management review we have now been told that it is back with Deloittes. We don't know why.

To be fair the person was very helpful this morning and has said they have chased our file up so that it will hopefully be back with them at the end of this week. We are no nearer to knowing what the decision is though.

We are just hoping we get a conclusion soon. The wait isn't getting any easier.

Hope you all are well and that those still waiting get some good news this week xx

My husband got the impression that Deloitte was being chased so he will leave it for now.

He's also emailed the helpful person at the FSCS for some clarifcation on a couple of things as unfortunately when he rang back we were out and he left a message on the answer machine.

The trouble is, you can't help but wonder why it has gone back to Deloitte and I wish they would be more upfront on the reason. I'm worrying about all sorts of things that may not even be relevant but it is difficult not to.

Thanks for your support Pinks and Lozza too xx

The letter sent to Nationwide would have been triggered as a result of your refinancing of the original loan. FSCS usually only accept the required information from the lender/ insurer/ finance company direct. However as you sent me the faxes from Nationwide, the info we required was contained in the statements you sent me.
Saying that however, as we are currently experiencing a delay awaiting the confirmation info from Target, as Nationwide are known to sometimes take a while to answer queries, I would appreciate if you can contact Nationwide to allow them to send us the necessary up to date info. This may save time later on.

    More delays:mad:

Just spoken to nationwide, will not send anything direct until signatures are verified. He said the signatures on the FSCS claim form do not look the same as the one's on the mortgage account:confused: signature don't normally change do they!!!! checked against passports and they are exactly the same.
Calling in with passports etc, tomorrow to verify. Hopefully we may get somewhere then.

I do wonder if any of these establishments know what that are talking about though, as the girl in Nationwide asked if this was for a new loan, and yet she had all the details up on the screen, "Just put me through to someone who knows what they are talking about", was the response" !!!!

I REALLY DO DESPAIR AT TIMES:mad::mad::mad::mad:
