Hi bushyb, sorry taken so long to reply had dragged my boyfriend to the supermarket.:rotfl:
We've had the loan running so far since April 2007 so about the same length as you had yours running when you cancelled. In which case I'm surprised you didn't receive a rebate...
The fact that Picture only mention the 30 days cooling off period and non pro rata refund in small print on the back page of the policy booklet, and not on the quote or demands and needs statement, should mean that everyone can get compensation.:j:j:j
I will definitely make sure I'm not taken for a ride the next time I go to a 'broker' or financial company for help!
Thanks to pinknico and di3004 for your messages!!!

We took out the loan in MArch 06 and when I realised the way we were being ripped off, cancelled in Aug/Sept 08. The only rebate we got , if you can call it one was £2 reduction in monthly payment. = £6 as we paid them off in November.
Deloitte are aware we rcd no rebate and have contacted me for details, date of cancellation etc. So maybe they will work something out. We on here are unsure how they are working things out with us who no longer have a loan with Picture, as nobody as yet has had there settlement. It will be interesting to see though!!
Have you kept the insurance in force or do you now have to claim the rebate back from Picture as some of the other posters hav had to do.
I doubt any of us would get stung like this again. It appears you can get the Insurance loads cheaper elsewhere. The thing is now though, if you still have the loan running and are maybe due a NCB you may be better keeping it as at the end of the day,you are still paying for it unless you choose to pay back the compo to Picture
Many thanks for your help, and sorry for all the questions.
Enjoy your CHEQUE:D:j Bet you feel on top of the world today:beer::j:j:j:j:j:T:T:T:T:T
