Hi, this is the first time I have posted on this site but have been reading previous posts. We too are picturites still waiting for our cheque! Started our claim about a year ago, had letter from Deloittes in August and since then nothing. My husband decided to give Deloittes a call yesterday to see what he could find out and was told that our claim had been calculated and returned to FSCS (but didnt say how long ago). He then went on to say that it had been sent back to Deloittes by the FSCS for re-calculating! Something to do with being 'timed out' . I guess that means that FSCS took too long to finalise it and the figures would have changed. I also guess that this had something to do with the NCBs as we received our second NCB at the begining of October. I hope this means that we are definately gonna get a cheque but who knows!!!

    Hi bella and welcome
Our was being recalculated 3/4 weeks ago and still heard nothing:confused:

  • Hello everybody, just one of my rare posts to update you all, spoke to deloittes today they were waiting for my mortgage company to respond, spoke to my mortgage company they said they would respond by the end of the week, nobody seems to be in much of a rush !! Could do with a cheque before Christmas but not getting my hopes up.
Doesn,t seem like there has been any good news for a while but that could be the calm before the storm hopefully !

These mortgage companies are so slow at passing on info. we're also hoping for a cheque before christmas.
Hopefully this is the calm before the storm. If we don't hear anything tomorrow, it's another wait until Monday then at the earliest before we are likely to hear anything.

Hi there honestbob, hope you okay.;)

Sorry to hear your going through all this as well......, I think myself its one of Deloittes excuses, as you can see from my above post from earlier.
I have also sent the senior case handler a very long email with copies from Deloittes and ourselves, hoping they will at least get back to us on this tomorrow.
    Fingers crossed for everyone.

    Hi hun
    Hope your well.......:A

I feel rather stupid saying earlier in the week that I had a good feeling in my bones about this, that at least some of us would receive some good news this week......:ohow wrong am I?:o:confused:.
All I can say is I am so sorry to hear that no-one have heard anything good up to now, and with a bit of luck it will be next week.

C&G were apparently requested for our details on 26 September, it will be going on 2 months before anything is received at least the way its going.

It all seems that in regards of all our cases, they are waiting to hear from the lenders of remortgages or loans doesn't it?

Hi Bella and welcome. Sorry to hear of your plight, but as Di says shouldnt be too much longer. At least you know there IS a cheque coming which has got to be good.

I imagine that they may well deduct your NCB from any award and dont know if you have been reading previous posts, but myself and a few others believe this to be incorrect and for that matter we have sent a letter back to the FSCS stating why.
If you see a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck !!!!!! :D
