am really pleased to hear this well done to you!! you have given hope to many people like me who thought it was too old to pursue,, i have a loan with ppi (2700) with yorkshire bank and that was taken out in 95, i was not going to put a claim in for this with it being that old i thought i was wasting my time. if it was not for pinknico xx i would have just left it, i may not be as lucky as you but will keep my fingers crossed. i have had 2 letters from them to say thanks blah blah and they need more time. do you mind me asking what route you had to take with this to get a win, (sorry but i am a nosey cow!!) x
    Hi Amersall
Thanks - ask me anything you want - I have said it before but if it hadn't been for you guys I wouldn't have had a clue how to start & if I can give anything at all back to help I will be well chuffed. I log on every night in the hope of helping anyone at all as I realise how the forum can't run if we all just get our money & then !!!!!! off:rotfl:
My loan was also taken out in 1995 with a bank called NWS bank who are no longer about but are a subsidery of BOS so I sent my first letter to BOS - got a letter back asking for more info (I had missed the last 4 numbers of the agreement by mistake) & a letter back saying they were upholding - all quick. Got my cheque today:j:j:j
Ask me anything you want - PM me if you like or post me a thread on the discussion site as I don't want to keep posting on the nice picturite peoples thread ( I know I shouldn't & you have all been very patient with me:o) but I couldn't work out how to answer this on another thread with your quote!

Think this is my longest post ever as Neil Diamond says money talks - the cheque in my hand is making me over excited:D

I got one upheld for a loan in 1999 but the one from 1997 (although I had the agreement) could not be upheld because FOS said the bank did not have the details of how long this went on for and the settlement etc. They did try but as this information was not available that loan was dismissed. The one for 1999 I had the agreement for and also I had the breakdown of settlement also so they did uphold this one.

    You have done very well!!:T

You also had a card upheld didn't you for over 20 years previous???

Yes 21 years I have had the card for - I stopped paying PPI on this 13 years ago but decided to still go for it and got the money back plus CI & Statutory interest of 8% paid straight to my CC today (have just found this out as have just checked my online banking) which was a bit cheeky of them as I am not & never have been in arrears with this but as my plan with the money was to pay it to the cc I don't really care saves me pushing a couple of buttons or waiting for a cheque to clear
